ii. Structural System
The geometry of the performance mock-up (PMU) sample and the main steel structure (rig), which is not scope of the facade
subcontractor, necessitates addi onal brackets to transfer the loads from the end Typical Mullions to the rig.
Steel built-up brackets are selected in resis ng these design loads. Simple supports are assigned regular intervals along the
length of the end Typical Mullion, the reac ons of which are used to design the Typical End Mullion Brackets.
The structural system is analyzed using STAAD.Pro v8i to check whether they sa sfy relevant code provisions for stress and
serviceability. Aside from its own weight, the framing members are subjected to the design loads outlined separately in the Load
Analysis of 4597-AAB-SC-02, "Structural Calcula on for the Design of Tower A, FT-01 Uni zed Curtain Wall with Ver cal Glass Fin."
