BUS RESERVATION SYSTEM

 Introduction

The minor project on BUS RESERVATION SYSTEM is squashed and effective program
providing a customer friendly interface and incredible functions for manipulation and
transaction. It facilitates the customer with probably all the services required for effective BUS
SERVICE. The main menu displays the various options:

1. RESERVATION

2. CANCELATION

3. PASSENGER'S LIST

4. TICKET

5. SEARCH

6. DISPLAY BUS

7. EXIT

When a new customer asks for a reservation the application form prompts for following
questions:

1. Seat Number.
2. Bus Route Code.
3. Bus Route Name.
4. Passenger’s Options for Seat
5. Passenger’s Name
 6. Passenger’s Address
7. Passenger’s contact

After filling a valid declarations a Passenger is provided with a unique seat no.

Abstract

The system entitled as “ONLINE BUS RESERVATION SYTSTEM” is an internet based on-line
reservation process which enforces the following features. This Web Application provides
facility to reserve online bus tickets.

It serves time as it allows number of users to Book Tickets at the same time.

Administrator has a privilege to add New Buses, new places, generate Reports and keep a track
of all the users.

User can register, login and book tickets with their specific id, and can also Cancel and Print
Tickets.
 Problem Selection

We all go by buses in our daily routine & we face many problems during journey, like standing
problem for long journey due to seat is not available for passengers. So the best answer of this
problem is bus reservation. I always wanted to study about how bus reservation works and now
during my M.C.A. I came to learn about C++, the object oriented programming and its incredible
features:

 Data abstraction
 Data encapsulation
 Inheritance
 Polymorphism
 Dynamic binding
 Message passing
 And many more

Using C++ and its features I made my mind to materialize my idea as effective project.
 Objective Of Computerized System

The chief objective of the system is to introduce office automation in all areas, which are routine
and time crucial in nature so as to enable them to reach a level of modern and simple office. The
major objectives of the computerized system are as follows :

 To reduce data processing cost.

 To make record handling, its maintenance, record keeping a simpler job.
 To obstruct free access of the data or any outside person,
 To make the process menu driven and user friendly.
 To give fair treatment in giving grace marks to the students.
 Advantages of Computerized System

1. System designing strengthens the present file handling and record keeping methodology
qualitatively by improving the accuracy as well as the efficiency.

2. A large amount of manpower is reduced.

3. Designing system will help in making queries about various items easily due to capacity
of handling large amount in a short period of time.

4. Various security checks will be help in various processes only to the authorized persons
only thus keeping in out of danger of illegible handling of records.

5. Accurate handling of data with minimum human intervention.

To make record handling its maintenance, record keeping a simpler job

It may help in collecting perfect management in details. In a very short time, the collection will
be obvious, simple and sensible. It will help a person to know the management of passed year
perfectly and vividly. It also helps in current all works relative to College. It will be also reduced
the cost of collecting the management & collection procedure will go on smoothly.

The present project has been developed to meet the aspirations indicated in the modern age. An
attempt has been made through this project to do all work ease & fast. It provide current add,
Update, MoveNext, MovePrevious, MoveLast, Find & Delete all facilities to accomplish the
desired objectives. The facility Include in this project and the suggested activities has been
organized to impart knowledge & develop skill & attitude in the College official works.
