NOTE:

- Don’t forget to record all necessary results and inputs, if using instruments like analytical balance or
centrifuge don’t forget to logbook, use mask all the time, and please be guided when handling chemicals

For productive time

- Heat first water then cool. Weigh 3(10g), 3(30g), (50g) fly ash and mix in 50ml oil (don’t forget
documentation). Heat each mixture of fa+oil in hotplate w/ stirring time of 20min. When water is cool
then weigh 2.5g NaOH and mix in water then store. Centrifuge while heating the other ratio. Prepare
needed reagents and do the analysis.

NAOH

Heat 500ml Weigh 2.5g Add previously Transfer in 500ml Shake

Distilled H20 NaOH in small heated H20 and stir volumetric flask vigorously and
at 105degC beaker until all NaOH is and fill to the transfer in
for 5min dissolved meniscus storage bottle
PHENOLPHTHALEIN Indicator

Dissolve 1g Stir until Note: if results is not deducible then add

Phenolphthalein dissolved 1ml 0.1% w/v solution of methylene blue or
