1. How do international relations affect you, Indonesia, and the world in general?

International relations play a big role in the society all around the world. For myself, this
international relations quite exposed to me especially in the economic aspect. This is because I
am a K-POP fans and it is not rare for me to buy goods of my favorite idols from Korea. If there is
no international relations between Korea and Indonesia, of course the “fan girling” side of myself
will be suffering. As international relations not only talks about economics, but also politics and
law. In general, of course Indonesia, even the world need this international relations so much.
Each country has their strength and weakness, each country has their needs and resources, etc.
Through this international relations, each country in the world can have their way to fulfill their
needs. As an example, Indonesia as the 30% fish supplier to the world, without the international
relations, of course these big amounts of fish will not go elsewhere than Indonesia and the world
would not complete their need for fish.

2. How could you use the different levels of analysis to explain the causes of conflict in the world today?
As there are three levels of analysis which are the individual level, state level, and international
system level. Those three are all contributes in causing the conflict in the world today. Let’s take
an example, racist issue is still sensitive until now days. From the lowest level which is individual
level, it may cause the problem to be worse. As an example, when we have a foreign friend in the
school, the action where we try to avoid him/her and treat him/her badly already become the
reason for the problem to be worst. In the state level, we can see from how the state treat the
foreigner in their area, if it is not good, then it is a big possibilities for the racist issue become
worsen. Then, the last stage which is the international system or the globalization level. We can
look at the race law. Perhaps, there is no formal system about it. However, if the system is only
biased into one side, of course it will be unbalanced and again, the problem will be the worst at
this stage.

services, technology, flows of investment, people, and information.

There are three principles of international relations which are dominance, reciprocity, and
identity. The simplest example of dominance is the family, where the parent are more dominant
then the children. While for reciprocity, the example is “I will tie your hair and you will tie my
hair”. The last is the example of identity, Indonesian Moslem may give food, cloth, blanket, etc.
to Palestine as they share the same religion as Moslem.

of war. The last one is the World War II, the period where peace-inspired topic are rejected
including the international government.
