My plans after graduation

Eight years of school have passed and, to be honest, this was a very tough experience. Studying
the whole night wasn't fun for me and never will. And finally, the end is coming soon and we are already
preparing for the best night of our lives yet – prom. We are all looking forward to sunny days and going
to the pool every day, enjoying every moment without waking up early. Even though it was supposed to
be easier, 8th grade wasn't what we were told about. The worst part is yet to come – we have our final
exams very soon. I am already studying every day for them because I need to do them well so I can go to
my wanted high school. Everybody is already thinking about which are their next steps, and so am I.

As they say, the summer after finals is the longest. First of all, we are all going to need some
sleep in order to “catch up on lost sleep”. Resting is going to be perfect after that much stress. I
am trying to make my every day a productive one, so I'll be doing many things during summer. First off,
traveling would be a great idea for instance. I always wanted to visit some countries in Europe, so that’s
where my trip will begin. In summer, I'd first go to the Netherlands by plane, because I went there a few
years ago, and I still think about it even nowadays. I would go to a village near Rotterdam, where I have a
friend that I can have fun with. Going around the village and the city would be perfect for me, and on the
last day, I'd go bowling, because I haven’t tried it in a long time. I always wanted to go to Italy, mostly
because of their wonderful food. Waking up to the sound of seagulls and the smell of the beach would be
just delightful.

Next stage of our lives is high school, and we all know it won’t be like in High School Musical. I
am planning to go to high school in Kragujevac, a pretty big town which is close to my home. This is my
dream school since I was in 4th grade: going to a special math class would be incredible, and at the same
time challenging. Even though it may not have any sense why am I going there, it is a school with many
opportunities. Greatest equipped classrooms, labs, and libraries are just some of the reasons I’m in love
with this school. There are many fun after-school activities that I’m in fond of. Volleyball is a sport that
I’ve wanted to play for so many years, but haven’t because in Velika Plana we don’t have a boys team. I
would also go walk around the streets. There are many sights out there, many shops and so on. They even
have a mall! Many of my friends from Petnica are going there too, so I’m not going to be that lonely after
all. With this decision, I am putting myself under a lot more pressure: to be a student of this school, I
must pass 2 final exams, which are both in June. Thinking about this makes me petrified, but I am trying
my best at accomplishing it. After this period, everything is going to be better.

In September, the school year is starting, so I’ll be in Kragujevac by then. They say that we need
to study for at least 3 hours a day, all together in a classroom near our rooms. In this class, I need to study
for 4 school years so I can go to college. From this year we don't need a final exam in our 4th year, but
there is a special exam that we take if we want to go to the best colleges out there. I am planning on going
to ETF after high school, ‘cause I love math and physics.

Going through this may be hard for someone, but this is the moment in which we have to fight
until the end. Studying now can be crucial for our lives, so it is important to not give up, no matter if it
seems impossible.
