Songs Linked to Moments

For me, music is a huge part of my life. It offers me hope, happiness, joy and among every
emotion you can feel. In particular though, there are a few specific songs that will always
remind me of certain emotions and moments.

Life Is Worth Living – Justin Bieber

For me, Justin Bieber is my favourite artist. All his music resonates with me and I think he is
sick basically and on his latest album he shows a new side to himself opening up to his
emotions and being completely honest with his music. Life is worth living has become a
song about hope for me, the connection I feel with this is one that I won’t forget, it allows
me to be completely open with my feelings and emotions and allows me to work through
them.

Mob Ties & Scorpion – Drake

Two key moments stand out for me, this along with the whole Scorpion album, it was the
beginning of summer and it got released on the Friday and I remember I had the day off
from college and I spent the whole afternoon gym training in the garden with this album on
with the sun shining and it was an amazing moment for me. Mob ties specifically stood out
to me as one of my favourite songs on the album. Also, the other moment was when we
were on the bus back from my first festival – Wireless and I listening to it on repeat, and
watching all the scenery of London and just being blissfully happy after one of the best
weekends of my life.

Linking it to a potential video, it would be a symbol of happiness and summer vibes.

I Fall Apart – Post Malone

For me, one of the most stand out songs that when I listen to sends me back to a specific
moment has got to be, I Fall Apart by Post Malone. Originally, I wasn’t particularly a fan of
the song or Post Malone, but after months of listening to him he went into my top 5 artists.
Once he was booked to perform at wireless, I was an instant yes to go! And his performance
on a whole was amazing but when he performed, I fall apart it was incredible and gave me
Goosebumps, as the crowd sang back to him and everyone was in a perfect zen. It was
beautiful. I will forever pair that song with one of the best moments of my life.

Hold Tight & Journals Album – Justin Bieber

As said before, Justin Bieber is my favourite music artist and is becoming a role model for
me. In pair with this, his best album and my favourite album ever is journals. He created this
in 2014 and is his best work showing of all his talent, swag and r&b roots. I first listened to
this in the summer last year, and I remember blaring it on my speaker and whilst painting
my shed in the garden, and now whenever it’s sunny and hot, I think of this album paired
with the great time it was for me.

Hey Brother - Avicii

Conveniently, Hey Brother was released just when my brother went travelling and from
going from seeing him all the time, he left for a year. Every time this song came on the
radio, it made me think of him travelling and from then on its always made me think of him.
