Hi, my name is Maryam Mohsin.

I have been here in Origins High School since 2015

during my 9th grade year. Origins High School has played a big role in my life, as it has helped

me to make the first steps in adjusting to the beginning of my new chapter. When I first came to

Origins, the first thing that surprised me was the diversity, I have never seen so many different

and skilled people in one place. This assisted me to learn a lot of interesting and fascinating

things about other countries around the world. It also motivated me to work harder and be

surrounded by positive people. Therefore, school is a place where I could grow as a person, and

develop in a variety of spheres, which as a result will help me in the future to accomplish my

goals.

Origins High School has played a big role in my life, as it has helped me to make the first

steps in adjusting to the beginning of my new chapter. One of the major skills that Origins taught

me is tolerance. I am the one who has the ability to control what I want and how I want it to be.

To sum this up, Origins has taught me to be independent and not to rely on others because I’m

gonna be on my own and living my best life, keeping the negativity on the side and being

positive. Also, Origins has helped me to make my own decisions and put effort to accept any

challenges that comes my way and accomplish them.

From this day, my dream is to become a kindergarten teacher. I want to become a

kindergarten teacher because I want to be able to help mold and shape our future. I truly believe

that our children are our future. It is important that we provide them with the right information

and tools to lead their lives in a positive way. How we impact the children we teach now

determines the outcome of all of our future and being able to be a part of history in a small way

is a very big deal. Though, my teachers played a very important role in my life. They encouraged

me to reach my full potential and gain confidence and I want to do the same to my students.
 To pursue my dreams, it requires determination and communication. Communication is

important for my dream goal because communication is key to help my future students to

succeed and to learn. Therefore, students depend on their teachers to provide them with

instruction, guidance and feedback throughout their learning process. Without communication,

how will our students be able to learn and accomplish their goals in life? On the other hand,

determination is also key because we build our students self-confidence and self-image to help

them pursue their dreams, accomplish their goals and to continue to stay the course even when

they hit a speed bump. Having determination keeps students in control and motivated to continue

along the path of achieving their goals in life. Without determination, how would we be able to

motivate our students to do good in their life? It’s important to know what gives you that

determination to keep going and to always follows your dreams even if life is like a roller

coaster.

To conclude, life has been a roller coaster, but I enjoyed the ride. Even when it is, we

can’t let that control us and define who we really are. We need to enjoy the life we were given

and embrace it every day. We need to have the same attitude and positivity towards life when we

experience these down turns. Life is too short to be unhappy, feel hopeless, and then not fight

back against that feeling. So, be postive, never give up and continue following your dreams.
