•Credit card holders needs to act responsibly

In general, people spend more when they use credit cards instead of cash. It can be
easy to get in over your head with credit card debt before you know it — and we don’t
want that to happen to you. So as a general guideline, keep your credit card debt low
enough so that your required payments are no more than 10% of your monthly income.

• Credit card holders should prioritize their spending

As a credit card holder, you should be financially responsible. Know your needs not
your wants and you should prioritize your spending. You should at least know the dos
and don’ts of credit card use to avoid falling into debt. Just because you own a credit
card doesn’t mean you instantly have money to spend.

•Make a list of expenses and set a strict budget.

Creating a budget with a template and list of expenses can help you feel more in control
of your finances and let you save money for your goals.
It’s important that you review your budget on a regular basis to be sure you are staying
on track. You can also compare your monthly expenses to those of people similar to
you.

•Use your card only for purchases and payments you regularly make

Use your credit card wisely, use it for purchases and payments you regularly make such
as groceries, utility bills, and gas. You may earn rebates or rewards for such
transactions, depending on your credit card type.
• Credit card holders must be value conscious.

If you use your credit card, it should be a conscious decision with a concrete plan for
paying off what you're charging. Before you swipe for a purchase, always assess
whether you can truly afford it. If you can’t, be brave enough to deny yourself the instant
gratification for financial peace of mind later on down the road.
