1. INTRODUCTION

The history of teaching dates back to the very beginning of mankind and form the early man
experience and knowledge were passed down from generation to generation. This was evident in
the ability of our ancestors to survive and make tools out of stones & woods. The materials used
in teaching & learning method. Writing was earlier done on sand, walls, slate made out of wood,
and chalkboard and in recent times on white boards and electronics boards. In the most recent
times, wireless remote control have found great application in the field of robotics engineering
and this is displayed in the use of remotes to control the movement of robots and their body
parts. To facilities effective and efficient teaching with black boards, Different methods of
cleaning the boards have been employed .In this project, the design and implementation of black
board with motorized cleaner is presented as an introduction to the automation of the cleaning
process erasing and reducing the task of cleaning the board as it cleans itself via a remote
control.

2. LITERATURE REVIEW

Teaching and learning in school and collage have been done over the years by writing on
boards. We use chalk on the board. The chalk is made from small particles. As the chalk is
scraped across the rough surface of board particles of it are spread out into surrounding air. Some
of this dust settles to the ground, but much of it falls on clothing, furniture, electronic
equipment’s and shelves. Teacher and students also inhale a portion as well. This usually
becomes trapped in the mucus layer of throat and upper lungs. A small amount of inhaled dust is
not considered harmful, but extra limit of breathing of dust inside the lungs makes issue to the
body such as asthma and other effects of chalk dust are chances of allergy, chronic bronchitis
from chalk dust. We can prevent all those effect and issue on human being by using automatic
board eraser.

The movement of the shaft fixed with the eraser was primarily done by manual switches.
But the most distinctive part of the mechanism was the plural dusters embedded on the shaft so
as to increase the duster range as well as cleaning the blackboard became much easier. The
electric motors span the whole blackboard so as to move the duster along it.

3. Methodology
3.1 Problem Definition:

To build an automatic board eraser based on 8051 microcontroller.

Objective and Scope of project:

The aim of this project is to design and fabrication of wireless board eraser is used
toprevent form lungs issue of human being and to reduce the work and time required to
reduce.we can use the wireless erasing system for

In this projectmotor is used, which rotate the eraser. The eraser is mounted on wooden
scale. The motor control is done by the microcontroller according to the switch pressed by the
user.

3.2 Block Diagram:

G.P.K.P. Page 8
Description:

1.8051 Microcontroller:

The main part of the project is 8051. The 8051 is receiving data from the RF receiver
through the decoder. The 8051 is programmed by us as when switch 1 is pressed the
motors are rotate forward direction and when the switch 2 is pressed motors will rotate in
reverse direction.

2. Encoder:
Encoder is HT12E IC is used.It is commonly used for radio frequency (RF) applications.
HT12E simply converts 12 bit parallel data in to serial output which can be transmitted through a
RF transmitter. These 12 bit parallel data is divided in to 8 address bits and 4 data bits. By using
these address pins we can provide 8 bit security code for data transmission and multiple receivers
may be addressed using the same transmitter.

3. RF Transmitter and Receiver:

This RF module comprises of an RF Transmitter and an RF Receiver. The
transmitter/receiver (Tx/Rx) pair operates at a frequency of 434 MHz. An RF transmitter
receives serial data and transmits it wirelessly through RF through its antenna connected at pin4.
The transmission occurs at the rate of 1Kbps - 10Kbps.The transmitted data is received by an RF
receiver operating at the same frequency as that of the transmitter.

4. Decoder:
HT12D converts the serial input into parallel outputs. It decodes the serial addresses and
data received by, say, an RF receiver, into parallel data and sends them to output data pins. The
serial input data is compared with the local addresses three times continuously. The input data
code is decoded when no error or unmatched codes are found. A valid transmission in indicated
by a high signal at VT pin.

5. Motor control units:
A motor driver is a little current amplifier; the function of motor drivers is to take a low-
current control signal and then turn it into a higher-current signal that can drivea motor. Low
signal obtained from the 8051.

6. DC motor:
We are using DC motors here for the movement of the duster. The whole duster is
mounted those DC motors. The DC motor moves as the duster moves .The DC motors are
primarily devices used to convert electrical energy into physical or mechanical energy.

7.PushTo Turn On button:

The push buttons are used here as an interface to the user for selecting the direction as to
clean the board.

8.Relay :
The relay module that electrically operated switch that allows to turn on or off a circuit
using voltage and current much higher than a microcontroller could handle. There is no
connection between the low voltage circuit operated by the microcontroller and the high power
circuit. The relay protects each circuit from each other.
The each channel in the module has three connections named NC, COM and NO.
Depending on the input signal mode, the jumper cap can be placed high level effective mode
which ‘closes’ the normally open (NO) switch at high level input and low level effective mode
which operates the same but low level input.

3.5 Software Requirements:

1) Proteus :
It is used for designing circuit diagram, creating PCB layout and run program in it for
knowing actual output.

2) Kiel uVision:
Kiel uVision is used for writing and executing assembly language program of 8051
microcontroller in it.

G.P.K.P. Page 13
3. Result:
When the switch 1 is pressed the signal sent from RF module received at 8051, it will
rotate both motors in forward direction and when switch 2 is pressed rotate both motors in
reverse direction which is mounted on duster.

3.7 Project Milestones Achieve:

1. We have studied how to design PCB layout on the software.

2. Studied how to print layout on the copper plate.
3. Studied how to load programs in real time 8051.
4. Studied how to select components required for project.
5. Studied how to mount the components on the PCB.
6. Studied how to overcome the problems faced while doing this project.
7. Studied how to interface the various devices with the 8051
Thus, our technical skills were developed while designing this mega project there is big
support and help of our project guide.

4. Future Scope of work:

This project can be further modified into a gesture control eraser by using camera
and DSP processor so as to identify the movement of the users hand and make the duster do
so.
This project can be also modified to clean glass as present on high building which
is very risky job for any human to perform.

5. Conclusion:

Wireless Board erasing mechanism have been studied and implemented its
provide a better solution for the health problems time constraints in the class room we learn basic
methodology to use DC motors so as to initiate to movement of shaft and microcontroller to
control the movement of the shaft.
