Synopsis for JobsAt Mail

Project overview:
The Jobs At Mail system is Intermediate between Jobseekers and Employers. The purpose is
to enable the Jobseekers to search for the jobs from any remote location. The Jobseeker can
Search for the jobs from any remote location. The Jobseeker can search for the jobs with the
Consultancy without actually visiting the Consultancy.

Obtaining a Reg. No and Password, the Reg. No being unique does registration for the
Jobseekers as well as Employers, who intends to access the Consultancy online through web.
After the Employer gets his registration confirmed, he/she can post jobs according to his
requirements. The main objective of Job Consultancy is to make easy for job seekers for
searching jobs and recruiting for companies. It acts as a mediator between the jobseekers and
companies. Companies ask required number of candidates and consultancy forward the list of
candidates to the company. It also sends a list of companies to job seekers to which are
recruiting.

Objective:
New user(s) or general user there are various modules helping him for entering into
consultancy. For a new user he has to enter their details according to the registration form. He
has to select is own registration number through which he has to login. There are several
modules that work once when the user is logged with his registration number and password.
The user can choose any of the components displayed and can avail the services according to
his need.

Username and password is given for each user so that the messaging server recognizes them
as user. Multiple logins with same identity is not allowed. The objective of the application is
to develop a system using which job applicants and recruiters can communicate with each
other. The purpose is to enable applicants to search for jobs in a convenient manner and to
enable employers to find suitable candidates.

Our main objective is to emphasis on using filters in our project so that the candidates that are
fulfilling the requirement that the companies have laid may be sorted and the companies
might select those who are the best eligible according to their requirements.
Existing System:
The present system requires applicants to search through print and visual media for job
opportunities. Applicants need to apply for jobs using conventional methods and appear for
interview on a specified date at a specified location. Employers need to advertise the
vacancies and sort all applicant details, conduct selection procedures and complete the
formalities. This approach is tedious and requires much effort and resources.

In the existing job portals that we have today, the major problem that a job seeker faces problems they
are – the regular need of updating that is required by these sites to be done in order to get there CV’s
selected in the process of recruitment. If they do not do so, then their CV’s gets piled down below and
when the recruitment is in process the ones that have been submitted at the end and there for it
becomes a loss for the candidate even if he is having the qualifications that are required by the
companies seeking job seekers.

Proposed System:
The major prospect of this project is to make an applications which is administrative based to
provide the complete information of the Job consultancy’s that the job seeker can be made
easy in searching jobs and recruiting for companies. The proposed system is a web based
application which allows applicants and employers to register their details. Applicants can
browse through the vacancy details that are posted and can apply for the jobs online.
Employers can browse through the posted resumes and select suitable candidates.

BENEFITS OF PROPOSED SYSTEM:

The consultancy has changed the world in the age of information technology therefore in the arena of
post globalization.

Every citizen of the world should have access to the authorities. Using this application,
individual users can then place their own requirements and hence can retrieve the information needed
sitting at their place. Multiple logins with same identity is not allowed.

 Client on Internet: Web Browser, Operating System (any).


 Client on Intranet: Client Software, Web Browser, Operating System (any).
 Web Server: IIS 6 or higher, Operating System (windows server).
 Data Base Server: MYSQL, WAMP Server, Operating System (windows Server).
 Development End: Python, HTML, JavaScript, MYSQL, OS (Windows Server),
Web Server (IIS 6 or higher).

A PERT chart is a graph-based chart. It can be used to determine the activities that from the
“critical path”, which if delayed will cause the overall project to delay. The PERT chart for

Gantt Chart:
A standard technique employed in recent times to keep track of a project’s progress is the
Gantt chart named after industrial engineer Henry Gantt (1861-1919). They are easy to draw,
easy to understand and readable adaptable to other planning approach (e.g. Pert Charts).

A Gantt chart is a calendar-oriented chart to represent the project schedule. Each activity is
represented as a bar in the calendar, starting from the start date of the activity and ending at
the ending date for that activity. The start and end of each activity becomes milestones for the

Modules:

This project is developed for job aspirants who are in search of suitable job. This project will
be helpful for fresher as well as experienced professionals. It keeps track of strong reputation
for a systematic and hands-on approach to Human Resources Consulting. It also undertakes
to manage the needs for organizations particularly small/medium and start-up companies on
an outstanding basis. Job consultancy acts like a mediator between job seekers and recruiters.

This project contains three modules:

1- Job-Seeker Module
2- Recruiter Module
3- Administrator Module.

Modules Decription:

JobSeeker Module:

This module provides functionalities for job seekers. Applicants can post their resumes with
personal and professional details. They can also update the resume as frequently as required.
The applicant can also browse through the present vacancies available.
 Upload resumes: Users can upload resumes in common formats such as Word or
PDF.
 Manage resumes: Users can manage resumes and update or delete existing ones.
 View jobs: Job seekers can see what the job entails in detail. When viewing a job
listing, the company name, location, industry, job description, and other information is
shown
 Search jobs: Searching for jobs is quick and easy. And user can search based on
quick, advanced, Zip/postal code search.
 Apply for jobs: Applying for a job can be done with the click of a button, and is fast
and easy
 Build Resume: User can just enter the details, his resume will be build by the web
based application.

Recruiter Module:
This module provides functionalities related to employers. Employers can post
vacancy details and update the details as and when necessary. Employers can search through
applicant resumes based on different criteria.
 Post jobs: Allow employers to post jobs .All postings include details job information
as well as company logo if uploaded.
 Resume search: Search through resumes by keyword, location, minimum salary ,
major, experience( min and maximum.
 Featured jobs: A featured employer is displayed on the site homepage.
 Manage job listings: Easily modify job listings. View, edit, delete, or suspended jobs
that were posted. See which ones are active and which have expired.
 Job statistics and applicants: Recruiter can easily see job statistics and all
applicants. Quick links to applicants' resume and cover letter are provided as well
 Edit profile: Recruiter can edit their company information displayed on the site,
upload a company logo.

AdministrationModule:

This module provides administrator related functionalities. Administrator manages entire


application and maintains the profiles of applicants and employers.

 Reply to queries
 Add the job detail.
 Delete or manage the old job details.
 Admin can manage recruiter information.
 Block or approve the Recruiters.
