Assignment Title: Q1 Mid-Unit Resume

Student Writing Goal: My goal is to be able to read faster and pass this class with either an A or a B, no less. I want to
be able to read a book or story without my mind wandering. Staying focus is important to being able to read without
distractions.

Instructions:
1) Re-read the paper (and teacher feedback).
2) Complete this reflection sheet.

What was the purpose of this writing assignment?

The purpose of this writing assignment was so prepare ourselves for things needed for the future. Especially
when looking for a job a resume is very important and gives the person interviewing you background
knowledge. The resume was made to help you get a job.

How did you perform in relation to the expectations of the writing rubric?
My performance towards the expectation of the writing rubric was very good I only got one point deducted. I
feel pretty proud of myself because I was stressing at first about it but knowing that I almost got it the perfect
score makes me proud.

What aspect of this piece did you do well? (give example/quotes to support claims)
The aspect I believe I did well in is my word choice. Such as, “A dedicated and well concentrated nurse
practitioner student I search of a part time as a medical assistant.” My word choice hasn’t always been the
greatest sometimes I repeat myself which is not a positive thing when it comes to writing assignments.

Why have you/haven’t you chosen to revise this writing assignment?

My overall grade in this assignment is good. It was well formatted and worded nicely. I will only have revise
one piece of my resume.

What will you do better in your next writing assignment, and how will I do it?
I will spend more time and not stress about it. The stress causes me to want to take the easy way out of it. If
it’s a story I will read the story clearly and take my time on it. Don’t get easily distracted with my
assignments and not fall behind.

To what degree of success did you achieve your previously stated goal(s)?
I did very good because I passed this class with an A. I do enjoy doing essays I stay after school if I have to
just to get it done. I had no C’s, that is the way I like my grades just A’s and B’s. I came in first semester
doing everything not letting a single assignment get by me without getting it done.
