Hannah knows the instructional content and subject matter. She connects her instruction to real world content, so that her students can
grasp concepts from their everyday life.

Hannah is working with a young age group and her lessons are fully aligned to the school's curriculum. She even included state
standards even though she is assigned to a private school. Her plans are detailed and contain all the component parts and include
differentiated instruction.

Hannah has managed to make her class instruction interactive. She delivered instruction that allowed the students to be part of active
learning. She varied her instructional strategies as she transitioned from small group center work to large group instruction. Hannah
incorporated technology during the whole group instruction and used it well.

Hannah uses a variety of assessments. During the observation period, she used observational assessment, graphic organizers, and
group work assessments. She was continually working on monitoring students by checking their progress, and collecting appropriate
data. She provided constant feedback to the students throughout her small group sessions, and checked graphic organizers for content
mastery in the whole group session. This data was used for future planning.

Hannah is very patient with the K students. They require a lot of energy to teach effectively. During the observation period, she
maintained their attention and corrected the negative behavior of some students. She is very respectful of the students and made sure
they were learning.

Hannah has been very professional in all of her student teaching session.She listens intently to professional critiques and adjusts her
instruction accordingly. She is a pleasant person to work with and communicates well with other educators.

I saw evidence of Hannah using assessments in class, but did not see any evidence of her documenting individual students' progress.
This will be an area for her to develop during the remaining weeks of student teaching.
