Introduction to Greek Mythology: Myth Research/Presentation

Step 1: Written Report (20 points):

 You will first conduct research on your myth using the web sites provided
and then document that work on a Google document. It needs to
include the following:
1. In your own words, summarize the myth you researched
(summary must be at least 10 sentences).
2. Now, list five interesting facts that you did not include in your
paragraph summary. (These can be bullet points)
3. Include a works cited (in MLA of your sources) - Use Easy Bib to
create a works cited and then copy and paste the sources on
page two of your document. If your work does not have a works
cited page, you will receive a 0/20.
In your research, you must locate the information provided in the description of
the god/goddess/hero/myth. This information is required in your presentation.

Sources (part of the written report):

 Before you begin, open a New Project in Easy Bib. Label it Myth Report
and then You will need to have a minimum of two sources. As soon as
you use a source, immediately import the link to Easy Bib into the website
tab and complete the information in order to save it.
 You will need to use the web sites from the list I have provided (attached
in this packet). Wikipedia is not an acceptable source, so do not use it to
locate information. However, if you find additional web sites that are not
on the list and are reputable, see me for approval.

Step 2: Google Presentation (50 points):

 After you have conducted your research, you will then create a Google
presentation from the written report to support your presentation of the
information you have discovered about your myth. The presentation must
contain five to ten slides. The slides can support your information in any
way you see fit, but you must include the required information.
Additionally, one slide must include an illustration of the
god/goddess/hero/myth. You will then present your infromation to your
classmates and tell them the story that you were assigned to research
related to the god/goddess/hero/myth you researched.
 You may have your presentation information written on a note card or on
a piece of paper, but you must talk to the class, not read to them from
the slides. You will not have your written report, so this step may be
necessary.
 Your classmates will take notes on each presentation; a quiz will be given
when the reports are finished. If you are absent on a day of presentations,
it is your responsibility to get the information from a classmate.
 The presentation itself should not exceed 3 minutes in length.
