Ambitious and hardworking third year BSc (Hons) student in Furniture Wood Technology in
GMIT Leffterfrack. I have skills in AutoCAD, Inventor, Woodwop, CNC, and I am currently
studying Cabinet Vision. I am interested in pursuing a career in the furniture industry. I have
excellent communication and team working skills, which I have developed through group
projects, work experience and captained teams at underage in hurling, soccer and Olympic
handball.

• Joinery Applications (Door Project) 3rd Year 3 members


For Joinery Applications as part of a team we had to design and make a door. We had
to carry out research on different door types and materials, design various elements
and produce a detailed report. This project required excellent teamwork skills. Tasks
were divided between each member for better time management and an overall
efficiency.

• Materials and Sustainability (Toolbox) 2nd Year 2 members


Required to work as part of a team to design and innovative a piece which had to
have three different materials and an innovative jointing method. We also had to do
a presentation on the toolbox, which required excellent communication skills.

• Blanket Chest 2nd Year Individual


Designing, machining and jointing were the skills developed in this project.

• Dovetail Jewellery Box 1st Year Individual


Made a dovetail jewellery box from cherry and maple with a lacquered finish.

Duties:
• Responsible for using CNC machine and supplying materials.
• Demonstrated attention to detail whilst drilling holes in plaques for
medals.
• Responsible for Hand routering the screw hole for hanging.
• Sanding and Lacquering of plaques.

Duties:
• Coaching at Easter and Summer Camps.
• Responsible for supervising children and liaising with parents.

• Enjoy playing hurling for Liam Mellows Hurling Club, U21, minor, U16 County finalists.
• 2015 Completed a FETAC level 5 First Aid Course.
• 2015 Completed a Manual Handling and SOLAS Safe Pass Course.
• Holder of a full drivers licence.
• Some Projects from first and second year made it into the Letterfrack Gallery.
• Made 20 candleholders as part of a project for the President of Ireland in 2015.
