To give support to all students, I will be providing multiple ways for students to acquire the knowledge based
on the student’s individual needs. I will be covering the content of lessons within the classroom, providing an
audio clip for the assignment with a transcript, and having class discussions regarding the topic within the
content. I will also be providing students with opportunities to show their knowledge, ask questions, and
explore the content.
Engagement: Students will listen to and/ read transcript with family at home for assignment for the night.
Representation: Clarifying the use of technology and vocabulary terms in content: Students will be able to use
technology and class discussion to increase knowledge of content.
Action and Expression: Optimize access to software and technology: Students will receive audio and written
instructions for assignment with access through class blog site.

Lesson idea implementation:


The flipped classroom assignment is posted on the classroom blog for students and parents/guardians to access
and use as an introduction to the content. They will be able to listen to me and read the transcript if needed to
understand the assignment. I will go over the procedures for completing the assignment in class so students will
understand the use of the technology for the completion of the assignment.
I will provide a time the next day to view video recordings and to meet with students. We will, as a whole
group, discuss the assignment and preview some videos for students to extract information from so they can
further explore the mathematics content. The completed assignments, including any charts/graphs/diagrams,
will be posted on the class blog for students to share at home.

Importance of technology:
Technology is necessary for the use of blogs or any other classroom website. It is a great way to communicate
with families and provide resources to students. This activity could not be complete without technology.

Internet Safety and Student Privacy:


The use of technology will be limited to the access of the blog for this assignment. T keep the blog safe for
student use, the website will be password protected. At home parents con also monitor students use of the
internet while accessing the classroom blog.
Reflective Practice:
This activity is a way for students to incorporate their home life into school and for parents/guardians to see
what is being learned in the classroom. The lesson also demonstrates how mathematics relates to real life for
adults. The extensions that will occur through this activity will help broaden the knowledge of the students
through multiple a[applications of the information from the videos.
