Dear Hiring Manager:

After doing some searching for career opportunities for after graduation, I came across the
position as a Marketing Communication Specialist for the University of Michigan. As of right
now, I am a sophomore at Central Michigan University to pursue a bachelor's degree in
marketing with a minor in psychology. I plan to further my education with a master’s degree so I
can become as knowledgeable as I can be in the field of marketing/business. With that being
said, I am writing to you to hopefully be considered for the position that is being offered through
the university. I will go over how my education, experience, and personal attributes will allow
me to contribute to the team.

Regarding my education, all throughout high school and my four semesters here at Central
Michigan University, I have pushed myself to earn the highest grades possible and will continue
to do so. I have taken my required English and math courses but continue to enroll in extra
because in my opinion, being able to work with numbers is crucial in the field of business along
with having developed writing skills. I have also taken oral and performance classes that enabled
me in me becoming skilled in oral communication. Maintaining jobs throughout college have
helped me stay up to date with my customer service and communication skills. This will allow
me to communicate in an advanced and professional style at the University of Michigan. I work
extremely well with others and am very advanced with technology and that will help keep the
stakeholders connected and involved with the teams. Along with that, I am also very organized
when it comes to my job, education, and personal life. This will be beneficial in keeping
everything organized when it comes to other colleagues, and the work in general.
