Date & Duration: Wednesday, March 19

Trainee Personal Goal

1. I will work on teaching the five senses and link its to the part of the
body. My goal it is to develop our oral language
2. I will use concrete and visual such as: I can see with my eyes, I can
smell with my nose. I can taste with my tongue, I can hear with my ears
and I can touch with my hands) to help me.
3. I know I have developed my goal when the learns can hold the item and
say one sentens for each sense example: I can see with my eyes.
Lesson Focus

Students to understand that their body parts are linked to their 5 senses.

Lesson Outcomes

Describe the 5 senses and their corresponding body part.

Differentiation activities (Support)

The teacher will focus on all five senses and the task of each sense in our lives,
and if it does not exist what will we do? If we lose a sense of our senses how
will we be? The teacher will use existing examples in life.

Differentiation activities (Stretch)

There will be a different set of activities. In the writing section there will be
activity on the five senses where the students will focus on the taste, then
write a sentence about taste (I taste with my tongue) then will draw what they
can taste. In art section they will focus on the sense of touch, they will draw
their hands on the paper and then will draw what they can touch. In math
section they will have a worksheet on counting how sense do we have by using
the cubes. In science centre they will have a basket for each sense then will
explore these senses with each basket then they will start to solve the activity.
In reding section, they will have books about five senses to read. In role play
centre each two student will work together, I will give them transparent
paper to draw the five senses of his friend.

Reflection:

On Tuesday 19th march I taught KG 2 students. From AL Naseem school. The

students learned Describe the 5 senses and their corresponding body part.
I started by asking questions about what the five senses is. The students discussed
their ideas, then they told the whole class and I listen their answer and then I told
them let us see in this experiment. I brought the popcorn machine and I put a
cover over it, so they could not see what it was then I on it they felt curious and I
asked them what did you hear and they began to guess and I keep told them maybe
until the popcorn smell spread in the classroom then they answered loudly this is
popcorn after that I took the cover. Then I asked them what we heard? They
answered me the popcorn machine. Then I asked them What sense did we use to
hear? They answered me with my hears then I told them full sentences they told
me "I hear with my ears" next question, I asked them what did we smell, they told
me popcorn smell, I asked them what sense did we use to smell they answered me
with full sentence direct they know me I do not take a single word " I smell with
my noise " . then I let them test, then I asked them How you can taste? They said
salty I told them how you know it is salty they told me we tasted it. I told them
with what you can taste the kind of food they told me "I taste with my tongue" and
I keep ask him what did you see, what is the colour ? they said white then I asked
them how you know they told me we saw it "I see with my eyes" and the last
senses when they touch it they told me "I touch with my hands". Then I explained
the summary on the poster for five senses to confirm their understanding. then
when we finish carpet time, I show them PowerPoint about the activity centre and
what they will do in each centre by details.
All students were very engaged and excited about the popcorn machine because it
simulated their curiosity, I realised that I need to provide activities that stimulate
their curiosity to keep the students engaged.
