higher education he so chooses. Clay is a tremendous leader, has contagious positive
energy, and makes every team he surrounds himself with better.

I was the Head football coach and Athletic director for two years while Clay was
involved with Greene County. I had the privilege to watch Clay grow into a great young
man, handle a multitude of different activities in his life while balancing school, and help
excel his peers both in the classroom and on the gridiron. Within our team, Clay
displayed a level of creativity, wit, and analytical thought that is quite rare among young
men.

Clay’s passion and care for people are truly phenomenal – he helped change moral and
continuity in a town and football program that had not seen success in over a decade.
Clay was a major reason we took a program in one year from 1-8 to 8 -1, and a share of
the district title. His leadership created positivity and belief.

He is ready to assume and excel in upper-division work along with higher education,
and possesses the self-motivation to successfully create and execute an independent
environment as well.

Clay’s personal strengths are complemented by his demonstrated leadership skills – he

was our teams “go to” person for any and every obstacle in life. Clay was a captain on
his football team, a man of great character, and has undeniable discipline in his work
ethic.
