TREES CONTRIBUTE TO THE ENVIRONMENT
A human breathes above 9.5 tones of air in a Year but oxygen only makes of above 23%
of that air
740 kgs of oxygen per year required for each human being
A 100-ft tree, 18” diameter at its produces 6,000 pounds or 2700 kgs of oxygen”
An average, One tree produces nearly 260 pounds or 117 kgs of oxygen each year.
7 to 8 plants per human being required for to meet demand of oxygen per year.
A typical houseplant leaf produces about 5 ml or 5 grams of oxygen per hour. A typical
human needs about 50 liters or 50 kgs of oxygen per hour.
Per person 10 thousand leaves are required to meet the demand of oxygen per hour
Tree plantings provide an opportunity for community involvement and that improves
the quality of life in our neighborhoods.
In one year an acre of mature trees can provide enough oxygen for 18 people
In one year, an acre of mature trees absorbs the same amount of CO2 produced when you
drive your car 26,000 miles
Trees reduce UV-B exposure by about 50 %, thus providing protection to children on school
campuses and playgrounds – where children spend hours outdoors

through news paper (Eenadu & Sakshi).
