CAREER DAY REFLECTION

DANIEL BIN MOHD RASHEEDI 2K6

INTRODUCTION

The “Career Day” program that was

held on 23 and 24 April 2019 is a
program to expose to the students
about the types of career they can
explore. This reflection will be
focusing on about the exhibition that
was held on the second day of the
program.The venue of the exhibition
was the Multipurpose Hall and the
exhibitions started from 2.00 p.m.
until 5.00 p.m.
FEELING AND WHAT WAS DONE

I felt happy and satisfied because I

managed to understand a lot of the
exhibitions well.

I visited a lot of exhibitions such as

PERMUN, World Scholar's Cup,
Robotic, Astronomy, Aviatar, F1 In
School and Land Rover 4x4 .
WHAT I LEARNT AND GOT

In Land Rover 4x4 exhibition, I learnt the

materials that are used for the car which is
the ABS and LBA. I also learnt the software
that they used which is Fusion 360. Not to
forget the criterias in the competition likes
critical regulation, design and the ablity to
face certain obstacles. In F1 In School
exhibition, I learnt about the overview of the
competition such as the way how they
determine the winner, judging, team members
limit, the registeration fee and what you have
to prepare. I also learnt the benefits from
taking part in the competition such as
enhancing skill in engineering or science and
develop communication.
WHAT I LEARNT AND GOT

In Aviatar exhibition. I learnt about the idea

of  team Delta which is the piezoelectric. The
concept of this idea is that they will use the
piezoelectric to turn the sound energy into
electric energy by using the loud sound coming
from the airplane on the runway. This idea is
very good because it can save electricity. In
World Scholar’s Cup exhibition, I learnt about
the challenges that they have to face during
the competition and also the six subjects that
they need to study. The challenges are team
debate, collaborative writing, scholar’s bowl
and scholar’s challenge. Meanwhile, the
subjects are social study, history, art and
music, special area, literature and science.
WHAT I LEARNT AND GOT

In PERMUN exhibiton or PERMATApintar United

Nations exhibiton, I learnt about the definition of
the UN itself and its main purposes. United Nations
is an intergovermental organization that was tasked
to maintain international peace and secuirity,
develop friendlt relations among nations, achieve
international co-operation and be a centre for
harmonizing the actions of nations. The main
purposes are maintaining worldwide peace and
secuirity, developing relations among nations and
postering cooerperation between nations in order to
solve economic, social, cultural and international
problems. I also learnt that they have to represent
one country in the competition and have to compete
solving the problem (issue) given in order to win. I
also got to know the overview and benefit in the
Robotic Exhibition.
WHAT I LEARNT AND GOT

In Astronomy exhibition. I got to test the

telescope to see how it works. I also learn
how to use a compass and how to find kiblat
using the compass. My favourite part was
playing with the robotic snake and guitar. I
was grateful because I got to play with a lot
expensive items.
LESSON

I should be grateful because in

PERMATApintar here, there are a
lot of exciting competition I can
try compare to other schools. So,
maybe in the future I will try to
join any of those competition.
