Cat
Cats are one of the cute animals and are included in animals that are special in Islam because
they are the pet of the Prophet Muhammad who is very dear. Many people are still afraid to raise
cats because they can have a negative impact on health. However, all creatures created by Allah
on this earth certainly have their own uses as do cats
Kitty Alzheimer's
Senior cats start to experience something like human dementia or Alzheimer’s when they reach
an old age, usually around 8. The cats wander around the house a little dazed and confused,
which is why they meow constantly. If your cat is displaying these symptoms, experts say it is
best to comfort it and provide an extra blanket at night.
Wide Load Whiskers
Cats’ whiskers grow to be as long as the cat is wide. Whiskers don’t just make cats adorable they
also serve an important purpose. Cats use their long whiskers to make sure their body will be
able to fit through tight openings. If the whiskers bend or move, the cat knows it won’t be able to
fit.
Losing a loved one is incredibly painful, but one of the best ways of coping is to own a
pet. Cats have been shown to help people get over their loss more quickly, and show less
physical symptoms of pain, like crying. Despite the fact that they are only animals, cats
serve as a social support during difficult times. People in mourning report talking to their
pet to work out their feelings, since it is often easier to talk to something that won’t
respond and can’t judge than to another human being.
If you’re a single guy and you can’t seem to get a date, get a cat! A British poll found
that 82 percent of women agreed they are more attracted to men who like animals. And
while having a dog will do wonders for your dating life, a whopping 90 percent of single
women said that men who own a cat are “nicer” than other guys. Listing that you own a
cat on your dating profile could do wonders for the number of responses you get —but
remember, a cat is for life, not just until you find a partner.
5. YOU'LL HAVE A HEALTHIER HEART.
Owning any pet is good for your heart. Cats in particular lower your stress level—
possibly since they don’t require as much effort as dogs—and lower the amount of
anxiety in your life. Petting a cat has a positive calming effect. One study found that
over a 10-year period cat owners were 30 percent less likely to die of a heart attack or
stroke than non-cat owners (although this might just be because cat owners are more
relaxed and have lower stress in general).
7. THEY CAN TELL YOU (AND OTHERS!) A LOT ABOUT YOUR PERSONALITY.
Your choice of pet reveals something about your personality. While dog lovers tend to
be the life of the party, cat owners are quieter and more introverted. However, they score
very highly when it comes to how trustworthy they are and how much they trust other
people. Cat owners are also less manipulative and more modest.
Someone who cares for cats or other animals in the way of Allah with full faith in God and
believes in the goodness given by God, then the good that has been given to the animal,
feeds the animal and even the feces, will be weighed as good on the Day of Judgment.
By caring for cats, it will be an exercise in the nature of empathy for a person and young
child who is surrounded by cats during his development, so he will also become a trained
child to be empathetic and loving and always have consideration for what is done that is
giving a good impact or impact bad.
Someone who loves animals such as cats and other animals, including even slaughtered
animals, will get a blessing from Allah SWT on the Day of Judgment. "Whoever loves even
though the animals are slaughtered, Allah will undoubtedly bless him on the Day of
Judgment." (Narrated by Bukhari)
From Sheikh Dr. Muhammad Luqman in his speech in the book Adabul Mufrod, it is stated
that every Muslim has been encouraged to always do good to all animals such as cats so
that later they can get forgiveness and also the pleasure of Allah Ta'ala.
Alms
Muslims are highly recommended to maintain, feed and drink to animals such as cats,
especially when the animal is hungry and thirsty because it will become sinful if it has to
make the animal suffer. By maintaining the cat, then it has been made alms for the person.
"At each charity towards a creature that has a heart (heart) that is wet (alive) will get a reward of
goodness. A Muslim who plants plants or plants which are then eaten by birds, humans, or
animals, then for him as charity "(Bukhori, Muslim).
Sin Forgiven
A Muslim is also highly recommended to help animals, especially in animals that suffer,
including unclean animals such as dogs. This makes Muslims not have the exception to help
animals such as cats and unclean animals such as dogs because the goal is very noble,
namely not to let the animal suffer. By caring for cats, for example, the sins of the person
who helped the animal will be forgiven.
"A prostitute saw a dog above a well and almost died of thirst. Then the woman took off her
shoes, tied them with her veil and took water from the well (then drunk it on the dog). By his
actions his sins are forgiven ". (Narrated by Bukhari)
As we know, cat animals don't like water. When viewed from the fact, water is a fertile
container for the growth of germs. This is what causes the entire surface of the body of a cat
not to have a type of germ because cats are animals that are afraid of water. This allows cats
to be kept in Islam because they do not have germs on their bodies.
God Himself has neglected uncleanness in cats. Therefore even though the cat has eaten
something unclean like a carcass in small or large quantities, then according to the
kemutraqan the words of the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam are cats still not an
unclean animal.
In the 13th century, as a manifestation of the appreciation of Islamic society, the appearance
of cats was made as a measure of the caliph's rings such as statues, porcelain and even
currencies. Even in the literary world, poets did not hesitate to make poems on their pet cats
that were very instrumental in protecting their book collections from mice and other types
of insects.
A Sufi named Ibn Bashad lived in the tenth century when one day he and his friends were
sitting on top of the Cairo mosque while eating dinner. When the cat passes by, Bashad's
mother gives the cat a piece of meat, but the cat returns again and Bashad gives a second
piece of meat. Secretly, Bashad's mother followed the cat to a slum house and she saw the
cat giving the piece of meat to another cat who was blind in both eyes. the incident touched
his heart until he became a Sufi until he died in 1067.
In addition, there is also a story of a Sufi in Iraq named Shibli who dreams if all his sins are
forgiven after he saves the cat from danger. In addition, Sufis also believe that if the snoring of a
cat's breath has a rhythm similar to the szikir kalimah Allah SWT.
