Who is the lesson for?
The lesson for KG2 students, a class has 25 smart students that they excited to learn different
things during the lesson.

Where did the lesson take place?


I teach this lesson on 11.3.2019 at 9:00 in Al Dewan KG School in the classroom.

What were you trying to achieve in your lesson?


I tried to explain addition by used different words and activities and include items to be helpful
for learners.

What did the students do?


I started the lesson to remind students about class rules of classroom then I ask one student to
open the box it had sand and try to find a card to showed what we will study today. Then I put
numbers song and asked student to counted with me and used their fingers to count. Learners
have to be able to addition numbers together by different activities and display. I prepared a
display to played with all learners in carpet to be able to understand what they will do. In focus
group student use dice and different things such as pear, smell bolls and blocks and in each
activity have a chart and with pear to write how many questions they complete. Students throw
dice twice and add two number together. Last activity it changes a literally Student used dice but
the have to put apples on the tree the that have to add and choose the right answer.
Analyze (A):
Why do you think the students responded the way that they did?
I used different things to take their attention like class dojo, stickers,
stamps and cartoon pencils. I let them work as a groups and discus before
they answer.

How well did your teaching relate to the students’ prior understanding?
First time I worried if they don’t know numbers and they will have a
hard time to learn addition but when I showed them a ( + ) they know what they have to do, I
wrote some questions on board and them answers correctly. I think that they were known about
addition and numbers until 20.

How well did you engage the students?


I engage by ask one student to open the box and play on the sand to find what we will study
today. learners by used numbers sing and song with them. Also, I try to give positive
reinforcement for them when they answer and be active with me. I bring different items and put a
question as a story help them got the answer easily.

Explain the nature of the experience from the students’ perspective:-
Students shows me that they had a great day during the lesson. During activities, they told me
that they want to try all the activities.

Did your lesson meet your teaching goals?


I do my best to catch what they have to learn. I watch different videos to learn how I will teach
this lesson for this age because it is first time to teach KG students.

Transform (T):
How might you enhance student learning of this lesson in the future?
I will put a big number for them and use new ideas match with there
level.

What are the implications for your professional practice?


I feel scared to teach them I asked myself a lot what I do to let students understand lesson, but I
ask my teacher in the school to let me try to teach them and I learn from my mistakes and try to
change it. In my opinion, I have to practice many times.
