Message in a bottle

Morten Olsen was walking along the beach in Smidstrop in the north of Denmark when he looked down and
saw a small, dark bottle. He opened it and saw that there was a piece of paper inside it. The note was from
a young boy called Matt. It said that Matt was from London. It also had his name and his surname and his
age. He was six years old. The last line said that his birthday was on 30 August.
The bottle had travelled from London to a beach in Denmark – that’s a journey of about 1,300 kilometres.
Morten took a photo of the bottle and the note. Then he posted it on the internet, because he wanted to find
Matt and to tell him that he had his message. A lot of his friends posted Morten’s photo and asked their friends
to help Morten look for Matt. Finally, Matt’s uncle saw the photo and now, he and Morten are good friends.
