Methods

This study will be show the method and procedure of the study. It discuss research
design, sampling technique, research instrument, and the gathering procedure used by
researcher in analyzing the data gathered. This study is focus on this particular topics
The Effectiveness of Lavender (Lavandula Angustifolia) Oil as Mosquito Repellent. It will
help and inform the people on the usage and the benefits of the use of lavender oil as
mosquito repellent.

Research Design

This study is based on community experimental. The researcher chose a survey

questionnaire research design because it will served as answer in the questionnaire and
also the purpose of the study. The survey research is studied by collecting and
analyzing data from only a few people or items considered the entire society. The
findings from this are expected to be generalized to the entire society. The survey
assess in public opinion or individual characteristics by the use of questionnaire and
sampling methods.

Study Area

The study has been conducted in laboratory research at the Department of Science and
Technology, Standard Testing Division (DOST-STD) located in Taguig City, National
Capital Region (NCR), Philippines.

Study population

This study use population based cross sectional, in tropical and subtropical countries,
the dengue flourishes in urban poor areas.

Data collection

A questionnaire was designed to collect information needed in the study. It consisted of

dependent variables as duration of using repellent. The respondents were able to
answer and well cooperate to the researchers.
