Dear Members and Friends,
As May unfolds there are several unique events taking place that I would | would like to call
everyone’s attention to.
The Youth Group will hold their annual rummage sale during the city wide weekend sale. Our
dates will be Friday May 3" and Saturday May 4". We will not participate on Sunday. Baked goods and
hot dogs will be available during the sale, ‘The youth are currently raising funds for their trip to
‘Minneapolis Minnesota in 2021 to attend the ELCA Youth Gathering
Our Quilt Group has been busier this year than ever and we will dedicate the quilts that are being
sent to Lutheran World Relief at the Sunday service on May 5".
Grace Lift will occur at 9 a.m. on Mother’s Day, Sunday May 12". Later this same week the Inrach
Committee will host the International Luncheon on Saturday May 18".
Prayer for healing will be available at the Sunday Communion Service on May 19". We have
occasionally held these over the years and they have been well received. This will be the last one
scheduled before I retire in June, so if you have been looking forward to one of these be sure not to miss

“International Luncheon”
Perhaps a country that you have visited is
your heritage, or, you want to learn more
about a country giving you a reason to
decorate a table and serve a luncheon of
food items from that country. If you
would like to be creative for a table,
please let Nancy Demarest or Clyde
Smith know. There is also a sign up sheet
in the narthex. Let's see how many
countries can be represented!Altar Hlowers May/June
