● Coordinate the success and affinity initiatives Intercultural Leadership Ambassador Program (ILAPS), SOAR
Program dedicated to the retention and support of underserved students.
● Advise the Multicultural Student Union and help with event planning, program development and managing a
$28,000 budget.
● Support the recruitment of underserved students by staffing Open Houses/Accepted Students Days and
partnering with admissions in their outreach and pre-college program efforts.
● Utilize Technolutions Slate to identify 20 eligible students to participate in ILAPS in collaboration with
Admissions.
● Create marketing materials and publicity strategies for Multicultural Student Initiative programs for Accepted
Students Days/Open Houses to increase awareness.
● Supervise of 30 work study students and 1 AmeriCorps VISTA focused on access and success.
● Develop a core curriculum for the SOAR Program designed to mentor 15 diverse students in their academic
success, identity development, community leadership, financial literacy, and the challenges of college life.

ethnicity, and foster a community that promotes and supports social justice and equity.

● Assisted in overseeing academic and transition/support initiatives for 1,100 first-year students and 800+
transfer students.
● Advised 300 first-year students, providing individual guidance and coaching following an academic and
social model for success.
● Recruited, trained, supervised, and evaluated a diverse staff of 14 First Year Mentors. Develop and
implement training for student staff, oversee student payroll, and facilitate student staff recruitment,
selection, and evaluation.

● Managed the Emerging Scholars Program whose aim is to support rising potential first-year students by
designing a support curriculum, develop and implementing a comprehensive marketing plan for recruitment.
