STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE
MEDICAL DEVICE RETURN AND DISPOSAL SYSTEM

1. PROCEDURE

 When the request or need of return is made for a specific product,

this system is implemented immediately.

 First the Item is identified which is required to be recalled.

 The lot number / batch of that product is identified which is required

for recall system.

 All the surgical appliances of IMT which are sold to the customer

are maintained with the lot numbers and expiry dates in the system

using the BESTOW Application.

 The Stock Ledger Report allows IMT BESTOW User to identify the

movement of the stock item as per Lot number.

 This Stock Ledger Report provides the complete date of Sales of that

item with quantity, Date, Point of Sales and Invoice numbers.

 IMT Sales Officer will be provided with the sales invoices containing

quantity supplied, date supplied, point of sales.

 Item will be collected by Sales officer using the Item Return Form

and bring it to Warehouse Department which will be Collected safely

and will be sent to manufacturer or if required,

 The disposal of the items will be carried out as per Municipality

regulations, Municipality will be informed, form will be filled and

items will be disposed off properly.
