STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE
RECEIVING, STORAGE AND HANDLING OF MEDICAL
DEVICES SYSTEM

1. PROCEDURE

 The Import products after the customs clearance are received in the

IMT Warehouse where Store and Warehouse Teams are engaged in arranging

the goods as per defined rules of Warehouse Management.

 The temperature sensitive products are kept in the required

temperature within the warehouse facility in the designated area.

 The Stock is arranged in the order of lot numbers with the expiry

dates. The items in the near or short expiry are placed at the front

whereas items with long expiries are placed at the back.

 The items are distributed category wise in the racking system.

 Separate racks are arranged for different products.

 All the racks are well labeled for easy access.

 The fire extinguisher is placed in the Storage Area.

 The Smoke Detector/Fire Alarm is placed in the Storage Area.

 Proper Cleaning and Pest Control system is defined to keep the

products in the safe and clean place.

 Proper Ladder for higher places is available for product movement.

 All the stock is entered to the BESTOW Application with Lot number,

expiry date and other product details.

 Stock is managed through BESTOW Application.
