Parkinson’s disease

Parkinson’s disease is a disease of the nervous system that must do with tremor, muscular
rigidity, and slow, imprecise movement, chiefly affecting middle-aged and elderly people. This disease
was named after James Parkinson because he is the guy who published a description of the condition.
The part of the body that Parkinson generally affects is substantia nigra. This is a long-term movement
disorder. Brain cells that deal with movement begin to die and your body starts to change.

Some symptoms of this disease are unsteady balance, swallowing problems. The symptoms
grow worse over time. For the disease to be caused, symptoms must affect you from doing daily
activates and as it processes things may become less effective. Most cases of Parkinson’s disease result
from not interacting in environmental and genetic factors. When genetic changes modify the risk of
developing Parkinson disease, the inheritance pattern is most likely unknown.

This disease is inherited because 15 percent of people with the disease have a family history.
Doctors diagnose this disease by following a physical examination and a detailed discussion. The
treatment that exist is break through medical procedure where stem cells are usually under the skin.
Also caused by the progressive impairment of nerve cells. There is no way to determine if a person
carries the trait and if it will be passed to his or her offspring.

There is no potential cure for the disease that has been found. Some treatments are
Medications, surgery, Therapies, such as diet, exercise, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and
speech therapy. Other names are PD, and Primary Parkinsonism. Mutation causes this disorder. The
gene that is affected is park7 and the chromosome is SNCA. There are no prenatal tests for this disorder.

Some more symptoms are slowness of movements, decreased facial expression, dull speech,
and decreased eye blinking. The population that is affected 1 million people in North America and more
than 4 million people worldwide. Parkinson is inherited recessively. It’s not a sex-linked disease. Yes,
genetic counseling is an option because it helps families with conditions.
Parkinson is the second most common brain disorder. Men are more likely to get the disease
than women. Some signs are tremor or shaking, small hand writing, loss of smell, trouble sleeping,
moving or walking, soft or low voice, and masked face. It is unknown of why Parkinson is developed.
When you are developing Parkinson, the disease is increasing within your age. If you get early
awareness, then in the future your treatments may improve.
