Ex. This browser should pop up on the side of the Google Doc.
6. Students will then insert an example of each type of machine in the
first column, and then a couple of examples of each machine on the
second and third column. Students are encouraged to make this
brochure their very own relatable learning tool, so the student
should insert any pictures that will help them remember the
difference between simple and compound machines.
7. After a couple of pictures are inserted then the students should go
back and click “Insert,” and then “Table.” Students will now insert a
3x1 table. The student will type in the first column, “What is the
purpose of simple machines?” Then the next 2 columns the students
should type the definition of simple and compound machines. If
needed students are able to add any additional information about
machines if needed.
8. After adding pictures and filing in definitions on the first side then
the student should create a second page in the same document.
Student can do that by going to “Insert,” “Break,” and then “Page
Break.”
9. Now students will insert another table by going to “Insert,” “Table,”
then they will insert another 3x1 table. The first column should say,
“Examples of Simple and Compound Machines around us.” The next
column should say “Simple Machines,” then the last column will say
“Compound Machines.”
10. Then the students will insert images of machines in every day life.
They will have to click “Insert,” “Image,” then “Search from Web.”
Students should at least insert 3-4 pictures of examples of each
machine.
11. After adding all the information on the brochure students are
encouraged to make the brochure their own by changing colors,
adding anything extra that they think looks good.
12. The teacher will help walk students through deleting the table
borders. The students should highlight every table and right click so
that “Table Options” will pop up. Then the students should change
the border color from black to white. Students will do this to every
table until there are no longer black borders on the brochure.
13. After complete students should save work in classroom folder, then
at a later date teacher will help students print brochure so it is
double sided.
