Assignment Title: Quarter 3 End of Unit: Macbeth Theme in Society

Student Writing Goal: My goal was to score at least an 80 percent or higher with minimal grammar errors. Also, to
make sense and not go off topic throughout the paper.

What was the purpose of this writing assignment?

The purpose of writing this assignment was to expand our minds on how blind ambition is related to people
in our society. To write about how the theme in Macbeth was used in the real world. This assignment made
me realize, you can find blind ambitious people everywhere and how it can affect others negatively.

How did you perform in relation to the expectations of the writing rubric?
I did not perform well in relation to the expectations of the writing rubric. I did stay on topic but may have
had to many run-on sentences that sounded repetitive. I also missed out many grammar errors like commas.

What aspect of this piece did you do well? (give example/quotes to support claims)
What I did well on was elaborating my thoughts, facts, and evidence. I was strong minded in the topic I was
writing about so I researched many evidences I can use for blind ambition. For example, when it came to
writing about Kim Kardashian’s tape, there was good evidence how she was ambitious to be famous.

Why have you/haven’t you chosen to revise this writing assignment?

I always say I’m going to revise my writing but have yet to do so. This is due to me rushing my paper and not
turning it in on time. Revising your paper is highly important and I’ve realized that throughout my high
school years. When you revise, you catch more mistakes than you did while writing.

What will you do better in your next writing assignment, and how will I do it?
My next writing assignment I will be confident and turn in my work on time. I will also revise my paper over
and over again until I feel it is good to turn in. I will also have others revise and edit my paper because I
know they will catch things my eyes couldn’t.

To what degree of success did you achieve your previously stated goal(s)?
I scored a low score, which was due to me turning in the assignment late. I had more grammar errors than
usual like adding commas where they needed to be. My work cited was not fully correct and my citations
were not complete. I also had to many contractions.
