Why I Choose Hyannis Dental Associations?
- At Stonehill I plan to major in Health
Sciences
- Possibly graduate as a Dental Hygienist,
so it was convenient to work in an
environment like such to see if I truly
have a passion for this type of work.
- Realized that I like decision making
more, so I choose to major in the
Administration side of Healthcare.
What I did
- Visited after school and during February
break
- Retrieved necessary tools and
paperwork
- Brought patients to the rooms and
helped take there vitals.
- Sat in on crownings, and sealants
- Understood the system on Hyannis
Dental Associates.
Levels of Leadership In the office

- Leaders

- Dentists (4) and managers of the office

- Dental Hygienists (interned with Jeanette Mello)

- Patient Care, front desk leaders.

The “Law of the Lid”
“Leadership Ability Determines a Person’s Level of Effectiveness.”

❖ Jeanette Mello
- Dental Hygienist, Hyannis Dental Associations
The “Law of Influence”
“True leadership cannot be awarded, appointed, or assigned. It comes only from
influence, and that cannot be mandated. It must be earned.”

What makes a leader?

- Honesty and Integrity

- Inspiring
- Ability
- Relationships
- Creativity and Innovation
- Character
The “Law of Process”
“Successful leaders are learners. And the learning process is ongoing, a result of
self-discipline and perseverance.”

Typically, the longer you work in the Dental office, the more experience
you gain and the higher up you get. By accomplishing this, you will make
more money and your leadership skills increase. This does not mean
people won't follow you unless you you prove growth, success, and
kindness to others.
