Scales/exercises. All major, melodic minor, harmonic minor scales and arpeggios,
3-octave chromatic scales

Progress: Through e4perience with scales, band music, sight-reading and

duets in the sfudio, there has been improvement on reducing right
shoulder and arm movements while playing. Finger facility is
improving with economy of motion and keeping fingers closer to
the keys. Throat noises are rare now that the throat when playing
and breathing is more open. Vibrato sounds much more natural
now. She is making fine progress in flute playing and particularly a
sense of style depending on the period of the music we've studied.
Thoughtful musicianship in terms of phrasing and use of dynamics
and tone colors is evident
