Assignment Title: Macbeth’s Downfall

Student Writing Goal: Something that I have always been struggling on is staying on topic of what I’m writing about.
My writing goal is to be on topic and be able to use more advanced words.

3) Revise the paper accordingly and highlight any changes.
4) Submit the revision and this reflection sheet.

What was the purpose of this writing assignment?

- The purpose of this writing assignment was to describe who we believe is responsible for Macbeth’s
downfall. We were assigned to explain why we think that person is responsible and gather evidence to
back up our answer.

How did you perform in relation to the expectations of the writing rubric?
- I am personally proud of how I performed on this writing rubric. I put plenty of effort and time on this
essay and used many evidence to explain myself.

What aspect of this piece did you do well? (give example/quotes to support claims)
- On this writing assignment, I did well on backing up my quotes with enough evidence such as making
sure to have a proper introduction and explanation. I was also proud of my hook because I always
seem to struggle to write down my hook. When it comes to essays, I always leave the hook till the end
but with essay I was able to come up with a good decent hook.

Why have you/haven’t you chosen to revise this writing assignment?

- I have chosen to revise this essay on some parts such as changing the words where I used contraction
words and staying on topic. With this essay I noticed how Mrs. Figueroa pointed out on the part where
It seemed I was blaming Lady Macbeth for Macbeth’s downfall when I was actually blaming him for
his own.

What will you do better in your next writing assignment, and how will I do it?
- For my next writing assignment, I will try to improve in staying on topic and not zone out of it. I
always tend to switch up what I’m talking about and forget the main purpose (topic) of the essay.

To what degree of success did you achieve your previously stated goal(s)?
- Throughout this essay, I accomplished a main goal that I have been struggling on which was not
leaving it till last minute. I always start doing my essays a day before its due or that day it’s due. With
this essay I began writing it 3 days before its due date and started typing the day it was due which was
easy because I had already written it down.
