Dear Ms. Figueroa,

Since high school began i had challenges and difficulties when it comes to

writing, and doing essays. When doing essays or writing something for a class it’s always a

challenge for me to start it, being able to get started and write stuff down is a challenge because I

don’t ever know how to start. Knowing what to say, and what to write about is a big challenge

for me. I don’t ever know what choose for a topic nothing ever seemed appealing for me to write

a multi paragraph essay about. It gets hard for me to extend my vocabulary, I keep using basic

words, not strong and bigger words.

I have gained a lot of benefits from my experience of writing. My writing changed and I

got used to doing outlines and essay set ups to help me with my writing structure, my essays

started getting more strong not skimped and half done. My writing process has changed, once I

started using outlines my sentence structures got better and stronger and hold more weight. After

reflecting on my previous writing assignments I have learned what I need to work harder on. The

benefit I got for that is that now my essays are getting better without having to reflect on them. I

gained a lot of benefits from learning different ways to write over the years and I do what works

for me.
 I would consider myself a decent writer. Every writer has their pros and cons, their

strengths and their weaknesses. My strengths would be in my writing I have a good story and i

keep the reader interested. I have strong quotes when I’m doing an essay and I have good

evidence to back up my quotes. I have sum weaknesses, like my vocab s very weak, I don’t have

strong vocabulary I use basic and weak words. Another weakness I think I have is I have bad

grammar and punctuation. Over I think I’m a good writer.

My goal is to take what I learned about writing in highs school and use it in real life

writing assignments, and when I’m in college. When I have to write about anything in the future

when I’m done with high school I’m going to take everything I learned and try my best on it.

When I at s job and I have to write a report to my boss, I would definitely use the structures and

the outlines I learned in school. When is start to go to college I already know I’m going to have

a lot of essays , so I’m going to have to use all that I learned through out all my classes and

essays I’ve done I the past. College would then give me more information how to better my

essay. It’s smart of someone to use what they learned in the past to something you’re doing new

to better the ski lint=stead of relearning or doing poor on the skill set.
