Equipment Needs

Equipment Image Cost & Rental

Storage Storage boxes vary from £2-£20 depending
boxes on the size and depth of the box. In our
short film, we will include our own boxes
which will save money and be able to focus
on other essential equipment. However, if
we need more boxes, we are likely to go to
Poundland and buy extra boxes.

Mobile We will need two mobile phones for this

phone x2 film production. One phone will be for
Emily, which she uses to call Paddy and
another phone which will be left on the
kitchen counter (known to be Paddy’s
phone) money won’t need to be spent
because the phones are already owned by
them.
Camera or This will be used to record the film. We
another agreed that if we use an IPhone it needs to
mobile be at least an IPhone 7 due to good camera
phone quality. If we do decide to use a mobile
(IPhone 7+) phone to record the film, it can be done on
either the directors’ or producers’ phone due
to us both having an iPhone 7+.

Camera or On the other hand, if we decide to use a

another camera it will be a canon camera that we
mobile will rent. This will cost around £140 to rent

The purpose of finding out roughly how
much it will cost allows us to budget
ourselves and acknowledge how much
money will need to be spent where.

Gimbal Dji This will be used in our film production in

Osmo 2 order to produce steady, smooth shots. In
Mobile addition to this, the Gimbal has features
such as specific materials that were chose in
particular to ensure that the Gimbal is
comfortable and designed in order to fit the
palm of your hand. To add to this, it also
has buttons placed conveniently and control
functions that allow it to be easily accessed
from slightly moving your thumb. We have
chosen to use this in particular because it
will allow our film product to look more
professional and the takes to be well
presented. Gimbals usually cost a minimum
of £89-£140 depending on where it is
purchased from. However, we will borrow
 one from the school allowing us to save
money.
Photographs We will need to print off some photographs
that show Emily being stalked. This can be
purchased from Boots where each 6x4
image costs around £0.16. Roughly, we will
need to print around 4 images which will
add up to £0.64. The purpose of the
photographs is that it will show that Emily
is being stalked and it links to the scary
feeling of being followed.

We may need to print it slightly bigger

(7x5) in order for the audience to see it
better, this will cost slightly more but only
by around £0.20-£0.40.
Saucepan The saucepan will be used in our short film
in order to hit the victim with. This will cost
around £15 in Sainsbury’s. We won’t need
to use the lid in the film because as Paddy
goes to hit Emily over the head with it, it
would drop.

We will only need one saucepan for our

idea that may be already owned, saving
more money.

Ketchup If we do include fake blood when Emily

gets hit, it will be replaced with ketchup
that costs around £1.
