Assignment Title: Macbeths Theme in Society

Student Writing Goal: My goal is to get a high score in my spelling, grammar, and punctuation. I want to score higher
than an 80% in all my assignments which is a “4”. I want to score a 90 or 95% in all my assignments which is a “5”.

Instructions:
1) Re-read the paper (and teacher feedback).
2) Complete this reflection sheet.

What was the purpose of this writing assignment?

The purpose of this writing assignment was to be able to research a themes that were found in the play
Macbeth. Then, after finding the theme we would have to write about it in a 5 paragraph essay, we would
have to find 3 sources that would support our claim on the theme that we chose. This would help us see where
the theme can be seen in the real world.

How did you perform in relation to the expectations of the writing rubric?
I think that I did well. I think that the way I wrote the essay was good I made all my points clear, and I also
made it so that it all flowed well. By this I mean that there was no confusion on where it made sense or not. I
also made sure that my punctuations and literary devices were placed in the right place.

What aspect of this piece did you do well? (give example/quotes to support claims)
I think a piece that I did well was being able to know what tone to use and also what point of view to use. For
example, for the point of view I knew that I should have used “the audience”, “the reader” this is so the
reader knows that it is professional. I should use a professional tone rather than an adolescent one, this is so
the reader knows that what I am talking about sounds professional rather than childish. I think I did well in
those aspects, so that I can get my point across without being unprofessional in the sense of communicating
through paper without sounding childish.

Why have you/haven’t you chosen to revise this writing assignment?

I chose to revise this writing assignment so that I would get a better score. In my previous one before the
revising I got a good score, but I wanted to make it better. This is so my grade can be higher in the class and
on the assignment, I want to score well on all so that I am able to graduate with all my assignments being in
the 90% range in writing terms “4”.

What will you do better in your next writing assignment, and how will I do it?
What I will do better this time around is be more open minded to ideas. By this I mean take into consideration
with classmates on the input they say would look good on my paper. For example, if my classmates suggest I
go into another topic I should hear them out first before I say no. What if what they say can benefit my paper,
and make it so much better than before to the point I get an even higher score.

To what degree of success did you achieve your previously stated goal(s)?
I achieved the score goal that I wanted. I wanted to score higher than a “3” which is a 80% on this writing
piece, this is good because now I feel more confident on being able to write an essay without feel nervous
that I will get a low score on it. The score that I received helped me with being more confident in my writing
and with my ability to brainstorm ideas more outside the box.
