Type of lesson: Systematization and revision of knowledge
Time: 100’

Aims:
 to develop students' listening, and speaking skills;
 practice the correct pronunciation of the words and sentences;
 to revise the vocabulary regarding animals, rooms in a house, furniture and toys;
 constructions with: I have... and My..........is........

 toy animals.

Possible problems: the students may not have the necessary language skills to answer the teacher’s questions;
the teacher must help them out and encourage them in their attempts to use the language.

Assessment activity: The students will be assessed on class participation.

STAGES OF THE LESSON

Warm-up: The teacher greets the students, introduces the guest and asks if anybody is absent. (2 minutes)

Activity 1

Aim: to set the scene


Interaction: T-Ss
Time: 5'
Procedure: The teacher tells the students that they are going to continue revising the vocabulary regarding
animals, rooms in a house, furniture and toys.

Activity 2

Aim: to revise the vocabulary related to animals and toys.


Interaction: T-SS, Ss-T
Time: 20'
Procedure: The teacher plays a song called: What animals can you see? The teacher asks the students to tell
her some wild and domestic animals. Then she goes on to tell the students that during this lesson they are
going to continue their revision by remembering vocabulary regarding toys, rooms in a house and furniture.
Then she asks her students to tell her how they can translate into English the vocabulary related to
toys: Minge is...ball. Păpuşă is...doll. etc. Then she gives each student a worksheet containing various toys and
asks them to color it as they please. After they finish she randomly selects a few student who come in front of
the class and present their toys. e.g.: My teddy is brown. My ball is red and blue. My plane is green. etc.

Activity 3
Aim: to revise the vocabulary related to rooms in a house and furniture.
Interaction: T-SS, Ss-T, Ss-Ss
Time:20'
Procedure: The revision lesson continues with the vocabulary related to rooms and furniture. For this part, the
teacher asks the students to take out their play dough. She then splits the class and asks the students in front
to make out of play dough a bed, a wardrobe. The next row is asked to make a chair, a table and a cupboard.
The next one makes a mirror and a shower. The last row makes a sofa and a table. After finishing their tasks the
teacher select a few students who come in front of the class and present their objects and the room where
they can be found. e.g.: My kitchen. I have a blue chair. I have a red table.

Activity 4
Aim: to ensure feedback
Interaction: T-Ss
Time:3'
Procedure: The teacher congratulates the students and grades the students who gave the best answers. The
teacher then gives the students a worksheet containing further practice of the vocabulary.
