TASKS

Develop a MATLAB (or Java) program that can (i) calculate the shear (vxy) versus shear strain (γxy)
response for a reinforced concrete panel that is subjected to any loading ratio (fx, fy, vxy) and (ii) predict
the shear versus strain response of Panels A to C, that are described in the paper “An International
Competition to Predict the Response of Reinforced Concrete Panels” from M.P. Collins, F.J. Vecchio and G.
Mehlhorn (available on http://www.civ.utoronto.ca/vector/journal_publications/jp1.pdf).

Please do not forget that a complete solution for this assignment requires, in addition to the files
mentioned in the assignment process discussed at the beginning of the course (available on the website
of the course), (iii) a plot of the shear stress versus shear strain response of Panels A to C from jp1.pdf.
