Guideline – Replacing WMPT with UMPT 80009180

1) Backup the NodeB Configuration xml file from M2000 using Backup management.
2) Import the CFGBCP of the RNC and the NodeB Configuration file into CME.
3) Right Click the NodeB and Choose Device Panel and delete the WMPT board in Slot
7.
4) Add UMPT board in Slot 7 and Choose the Ethernet Port Properties carefully like
“Port Speed = 100M”, “MTU = 1500 byte”, “Duplex = Full Duplex” , “ARP Proxy =
Enable” settings.
5) Export the NodeB Configuration file from CME and then download the new
configuration file to the newly added UMPT board on site.

Note : No need to delete the IP Transport Configuration like SCTP link, IPPATH, OMCH,

VLAN, NBAP and IPRT Configuration in order to delete the WMPT board.

1. Please NOTICE: Default IP of UMPT: 192.168.0.49

2. Turn off your BBU power, take out WMPT, insert UMPT

3. Power on BBU again, wait approximately 10 minutes until all your boards are ready

to recommissioning

4. Set your IP laptop in same segment with default IP of UMPT; example: 192.168.0.47

5. Make sure your FTP Server program has been enable (started)

6. Configure your FTP Server

Username: admin

7. Login to Web LMT via Internet Explorer

a. Login to: 192.168.0.49

b. Username: admin Password: hwbs@com

8. Select Device Maintenance

9. Click on BTS Maintenance Tab

10. Select Software Management

11. Fill in FTP Server Configuration

a. IP address: Fill in with same IP address of your IP Laptop

b. Username: admin

c. Password: hwbs@com

12. Click on tab Upgrade Software

a. Select “Download Version Software”

i. Browse to directory on NodeB software package

b. Select “Download Configuration file”

i. Browse to directory of NodeBCfg.xml (your NodeB script)

c. Select “Activate Configuration File”

d. Uncheck “Activate Version Software”

i. We will later activate it on MML command tab

e. EXECUTE

f. Wait until Download Version Software, Download Configuration File, and

Activate Configuration File process to 100%

13. Select MML tab

14. On command input; please input LST SOFTWARE to check whether your NodeB

software package already downloaded to UMPT; Example: Software name:

V200R014C00SPC376

15. On command input: please execute ACT SOFTWARE; input desire software name to be

activated; example: V200R014C00SPC376

a. Click execute/ press F9

16. Wait until all process to 100% , and nodeB will restart and back to on air.

17. After restarting, your UMPT IP is no longer 192.168.0.49, but will be 17.21.2.15. So,

you have to login to IP 17.21.2.15 via Web LMT or LMT software.
