Abstract
This paper explains how new technology can help to improve the revenue of the business.
Currently, there is a lot of new businesses and companies that are making new emerging
technologies to help other businesses improve the amount of profit they make. Every year, there
is more competition between businesses because they all try to have the best and most beneficial
types of emerging technologies that could potentially help their business grow faster. In this
paper, KTM Services is a wholesale snack company that could use some emerging technologies
to help their business grow even more than it already is. There are two specific emerging
In 1994, a man named Thanh decided to create snack company in Hawaii because he felt that
there was not enough local snacks sold in Hawaii. With his wife (Kamei) and mother (Moui) he
was determined to make the company larger and created KTM Services. When Thanh gave
people snacks, he said “enjoy!” That is why the company branded their snacks with Enjoy
Products. KTM Services is also a private company owned by the three family members. Their
mission through their company is to provide quality snacks for their loyal customers. Therefore,
they created the slogan, “It’s time to enjoy life!” Today, they own a large warehouse in
Honolulu, Hawaii and snacks are sold and distributed to all kinds of all purpose stores like Longs
and Walmart.
NEEDS
When I went to their warehouse in Honolulu, Hawaii, they had all sorts of snacks everywhere
with forklifts all around. At the same time, they were trying to organize and package snacks in
the back. It was definitely a busy warehouse with a lot of people. I think something they
could’ve done to improve their warehouse was to make everything more organized and in-order.
To fix this problem, I propose the use of an inventory management system. I found the SkuVault
inventory management system that allows medium sized businesses to keep their warehouse in
order and they will know where all their different products are at all times.

Technology A
Tech. A is called SkuVault. SkuVault is a software on the computer that allows the owners of
the store keep track of their inventory and also keep track of their sales and shippings. I think
that this will be a good technology because they allow for the large warehouse like the KTM
warehouse to keep track of all their shipping and where their inventory is at all times. The
SkuVault System was made in 2011 with constant updating and re-modeling of the systems to

Tech. B is called the TouchBistro Self Ordering Kiosk. This self-ordering kiosk is a system that
allows for the customer to order whatever they want without having to be rung up by a cashier
which also benefits the company because less people need to be hired. In a warehouse setting,
people can use this technology to place their order outside of the warehouse and someone can
bring it out to them if they don’t want to order online or find specific products inside another
store like Longs. This will help their revenue go up because along with selling their products to
other stores to sell and online ordering, they can sell their products straight from their Honolulu
location. TouchBistro is founded in 2010 also with constant updates of their system. I think that
this is an emerging technology because not a lot of people and stores use systems like this to
increase their revenue. Customers will also be able to pay with more than cash.
Analysis:
In conclusion, I think that the best technology between these two will be Technology A which is
the SkuVault system. I think that technology a is better than technology b because SkuVault
allows for the owner to keep better track of the warehouse and of the inventory. It will also help
