PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES:

PEO1 Will be equipped with sound knowledge of mathematics, science and


technology useful to build complex mechanical engineering solutions.

engineering.

PEO3 Will have skills of analyzing, designing and implementing mechanical systems

At the end of the programme the learner will be able to

PO1 Apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering with focus on


mechanical engineering
PO2 Identify, formulate and analyze a problem using principles of basic sciences
and mechanical engineering.
PO3 Design a system, component or process to fulfill desired needs within realistic
constraints such as manufacturing, economic, environmental, social, ethical,
safety and sustainability
PO4 Design and conduct experiments as well as analyze and interpret data.

PO5 Apply techniques, skills, and modern mechanical engineering tools such as
CAD, CAM and CAE necessary for engineering practice.
PO6 Acquire the broad education necessary to understand the impact of

EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING:

Mechanical Engineering program allows students to apply their knowledge and


conceptual understanding to real-world problems. They are encouraged to use modern
tools & methods to solve these problems and are supplemented with various skill-based
value-added courses on computer-aided design and engineering. Students also do
internships in industries of repute and carry out minor and major projects.

DEGREE REQUIREMENT:

 183 credits to be earned


 All audit courses to be completed with ‘S’ (Satisfactory) grade
 Minimum CGPA 4.0
