Imagine sitting in the stands and you hear the crack and you look up you see your

favorite team’s player hit an absolute bomb. Travis Shaw hits a three run shot to deep left center

field. The Red Sox are up three to nothing in the bottom of the fifth inning. All the Blue Jays

fans were booing while all the Sox fans were cheering. The place was so loud but the only

person I could really understand was my dad. He was screaming, “Wooohooo, that’s what I’m

talking about.” I was so happy I was shaking. It was my first baseball game.

It was over April break at school so my family and I went down to my grandmother’s in

Massachusetts. My step-mom, sister, and my grandmother went into Boston for the day, as an

early birthday present for my sister. My dad and I went to the Red Sox game. We parked in the

parking garage and we took the train in to the nearest entrance and walked about ¾ of a mile. We

walked on a bridge that went over the Massachusetts turnpike. We then got onto Lansdown

Street and waited in line to buy our tickets. From there we walked through the gates and up into

the seats about halfway between the plate and third base. We were just before the bottom of the

second deck.

because it was quality father-son time. This experience was also important because it was my

first professional sports event in person. I always watch sports on tv but this was different. My

relationship with my father is important because he does alot for me. My dad has taught me when you are a dad?

many things that are very helpful in my life. He has taught me just about everything I know. He

has used his experiences to tell me what not to do. When I become a dad i would want to be just

like him, I’m proud that he is my father.
