Third Sunday of Easter

Jesus invited the disciples to “come and have breakfast.” Through this breakfast at
the beach and the Last Supper, Jesus teaches us that meals can be more than eating.
Meals are opportunities to share prayer, the stories of our lives, understanding and
forgiveness for one another. Expect Jesus to be present at family meals.

365 Holy Hours were kept before the Blessed Sacrament this past week.
We have one vacant hour…Saturday, midnight to 1:00am. We also have the
following hours that are in need of a partner for the current adorer covering
these hours: Sunday 3-4am and 5-6am, and Monday 10-11am. You cannot
know, until you commit to an hour every week, the graces our good God has in store
for you. Call Gene Ryan at 330-690-9661 and sign-up. You will never regret it, ask
any adorer! Many blessings!

Congratulations to Gene Ryan, our Holy Hour Coordinator, as she celebrates

her 90th birthday on May 6.

Pastor’s Formed Pick of the Week: “The Second Greatest Story Ever Told”
In this vastly popular talk, Fr. Michael Gaitley describes the “Second Greatest
Story Ever Told” a story that encompasses Divine Mercy, the life of Pope St. John Paul
II and the crucial role Marian Consecration can play in your life. Fr. Gaitley is a priest
in the congregation of Marion Mothers of the Immaculate Conception and the director
of the Association of Marian Helpers a fraternal community with more than one million

Please join our parish for May Crowning! St. Augustine PSR will hold their
May Crowning on Sunday, May 5 at 9:30am and St. Augustine School will
hold their May Crowning on Tuesday, May 7, following the 8:30am school
Mass. Both will be held on the front lawn by the Statue of Mary (rain

We ask that you keep our second graders in your prayers as they prepare to
receive their First Holy Communion on Saturday, May 4. May God continue to
bless them!

When using the kneelers please do not allow them to hit the floor hard. It is
not only a huge distraction to others but it is causing them to wear down and
break. Please be gentle.

“Aloha” ~ That is a little Hawaiian greeting for our next Soup Kitchen scheduled for May 7 at the First
Presbyterian Church. We are having a Luau! Our menu will consist of pulled pork sliders, a variety of

homemade Hawaiian punch! Thank you in advance to our guest chefs helping to prepare many
components of this day’s meal. But…we can always use YOUR help! Beginning at 2:00 p.m., there will be
fruit to cut, coffee to brew, tables to dress and many other details of a family dinner. Prayers will be said
at 4:30 p.m. with dinner following. For questions contact Carolyn @ 330-234-7302.

Kristin Hannah’s award-winning novel, The Nightingale, will be discussed

at the next meeting of the Book Club. This is set for Thursday, May 9 at

Resistance during World War II, the book reveals much about family
relationships-father/daughter, husband/wife, mother/child and in this
story – sister/sister. All are welcome to attend. June’s selection Conclave by Robert
Harris tells the story of the election of the Pope.
