Goodyear India Limited is engaged in the manufacturing and trading of tires, tubes and flaps.
The Company supplies tires to a range of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). The
Company manufactures automotive bias tires, such as farm tires and commercial truck tires at
its Ballabgarh plant. The Company also trades in Goodyear branded tires, including radial
passenger tires (consumer) and off the road (OTR) bias tires, manufactured by Goodyear South
Asia Tires Private Limited (GSATPL), Aurangabad. The other products, which the Company
markets and sells, include radial OTR imported tires. The Company offers products under the
brands, such as Assurance TripleMax, Assurance Duraplus and Wrangler AT/SA. The
Company also offers tubeless radial tires. It offers Goodyear tires to the tractor companies. The
Company also offers Goodyear Eagle EfficientGrip, Goodyear Eagle F1 Directional 5 and
Goodyear Excellence, among others.

HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION AND


RESPONSIBILITIES

Human resource managers are responsible for ensuring that the overall administration,
coordination, and evaluation of human resources plans and programs are realized. Therefore,
their essential job responsibilities include:

 Developing and administering human resources plans and procedures that relate to
company personnel
 Planning, organizing, and controlling the activities and actions of the HR department
 Contributing to the development of HR department goals, objectives, and systems

These responsibilities involve achieving the following tasks:

 Implementing and revising a company’s compensation program


 Creating and revising job descriptions
 Conducting annual salary surveys
 Developing, analyzing, and updating the company’s salary budget
 Developing, analyzing and updating the company’s evaluation program
 Developing, revising, and recommending personnel policies and procedures
 Maintaining and revising the company’s handbook on policies and procedures
 Performing benefits administration
 Maintaining affirmative action programs
 Overseeing recruitment efforts for all personnel, including writing and placing job ads
 Conducting new employee orientations and employee relations counseling
 Overseeing exit interviews
 Maintaining department records and reports
 Participating in administrative staff meetings
 Maintaining company directory and other organizational charts
 Recommending new policies, approaches, and procedures

Although in smaller organizations human resource managers may be responsible for all of the
above named duties, these HR professionals in larger organizations may have more
specialized duties. In these settings, these specialized managers may be referred to as
compensation and benefits managers, training and development managers, and the like.

As supervisors, human resource managers are responsible for the oversight of all employees
in the HR department, which includes performance management of HR employees. For
example, they would be in a position to make recommendations to an organization’s
leadership based on analyses of worker productivity. Their value is often realized as they
identify ways to maximize the value of the organization’s employees and ensure all human
resources are being utilized as efficiently as possible.

WHAT IT TAKES TO BECOME A HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER

Human resource managers possess excellent decision-making, strategic thinking, leadership,


interpersonal, and ethical conduct skills. Beyond these traits, however, human resource
managers must be well-educated in their field of expertise.

Human resource managers typically possess a bachelor’s degree and human resources
experience, although many employers prefer their human resource managers to possess a
master’s degree in human resource management.

Bachelor’s degrees in human resources may be structured as:

 Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management


 Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts in Management with a concentration in HR
 Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a concentration in one of the
following:
o Human resources
o Organizational behaviour
o Management and leadership
o Industrial relations

The Department of Labour union reports that candidates who possess professional
certification or a master’s degree (particularly those with a concentration in HR management)
likely have the best prospects to become human resource managers. Further, candidates with
a solid background in policies, employment law, and human resources are also expected to
enjoy more job opportunities.

As such, popular graduate degrees for human resource managers include:

HR MANAGER IN GOOD YEAR

Job Description
1. Design Annual HR Plan in line with Organization Score Card.
2. Responsible for Annual HR Budget preparation and also monitoring periodically.
3. Talent acquisition including extensive use of job competencies and psychometric tools.
Take complete ownership of Applicant Tracking System to manage recruitment cycle end to
end
4. Induction and orientation for new joiners.
5. Performance Management - Manage the P&D process (Mid-year process, yearly
performance calibration process). The PMS process includes Balance score card approach,
360 Degree Evaluation for senior leadership positions & IDP.

7. Learning and development - Designing annual L & D plan. Ensure measuring effectiveness

Mandate Skills required-:


o 5-15 years of Relevant Experience in Marketing
o 2-10 years of experience preferably in marketing of from Rubber/ Raw materials required by
Tyre industry / Carbon steel industry.
o Candidates having experience in marketing raw materials to multinational tyre companies
will be preferred.
o Candidate should have first-hand experience in dealing with the with purchase department of
multinational tyre companies.
o Bachelors/MBA/PG degree or equivalent.
o Also, candidates who have worked in marketing department of existing reclaim rubber
manufacturers will be preferred.

o Sales & marketing experience for Rubber/ Tyre/ Carbon products , dealing with multinational
tyre companies.
o Knowledge on Rubber/ Tyre/ Carbon steel products processing and manufacturing.
o Ability to build & managing relationship with different teams, client & stakeholders with
ease and working with them to grow the sales.
o Responsible for sales and business development in Domestic & International market.
o Responsible for new leads domestic/international.
o Developing leads and preparing strategic sales plans.
o Handle activities for raw material purchase with purchase department of tyre companies.
o Analyse market segmentation (Geographical, Industry and Customer).
o Formulate marketing strategy along with identifying and establishing promotion channels.

o Conducting trials, developing key account plan & strategies, maintaining and updating
customer databases, managing budgets and monitoring competitor activity.
