TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

GENERAL
Execution class 2 Acc. to ENV 1090.
All dimensions are given without reduction for weld grooves, tolerances, etc.
For control (All elements) : One set of profiles, plates are cut and assembled before
cutting the remaining

STEEL GRADES AND QUALITIES

General
- Al.killed fine grain steels (Option: Si.killed if painted)
- Low S,P,N,O,H and C content

Note : Cold formed sections must be suitable for welding ( by any common welding method
used in welded structures ) in cold deformed zones.
The material shall be suitable for hot-dip zinc-coating
Option : Use hot finished sections instead.
Plates Standard : EN 10025, Grade : Acc. to material list.
Post fabrication inspection acc to EN1993-1-10
Cold finished hollow sections
Rectangular hollow sections, CFRHS Standard : EN 10219, Acc. to material list.
Circular hollow sections, CFCHS Standard : EN 10219, Acc. to material list.

PROTECTIVE TREATMENT Acc to EN ISO 12944-2 Table 1. and Table 2.

In case of painted, close open end of hollow sections

SURFACE PREPARATION (Note: Applies to membrane coated buildings only)

Generaly, all sharp edges and corners to be rounded (min. R=3mm), or smoothed by grinding.
In particular, contact points/surfaces to textile membrane shall have rounded corners and edges.

Flange plate connections: 10.9
Bolts acc. to NS-EN ISO 4017, alt NS-EN 14399-3
Nuts acc. to NS-EN ISO 4032, alt NS-EN 14399-3
Washers acc. to NS-EN ISO 7089, alt NS-EN 14399-5
In connections subjected to vibrations (like craneways etc) the bolts need to be secured
with locknuts or suitable locking washers.

WELDED CONNECTIONS
Chord splices To be grinded.
Flange plate connections To have full contact bearing
Note : If not otherwise specified, the weld type is taken to be butt weld.

PROFILED SHEETS
Profiled sheets are functioning as a stiff disc acc. to EN 1993-1-3 or SBI.
Calculations and plans must be delivered by supplier.

GIRDER FRAMES
Difference in height from one fram to the other is maximum H/500 or cc/250
Produce in one piece with connections. Systematic shims will not be accepted.

NUMBERING OF ELEMENTS

Drawings made in FastCad :

The numbering must include both element
number and axis number.
For elements between axes use field number
instead of axis number.
Field number 1 is the first field at axis No. 1.

Drawings made in Tekla :

Generally: Use numbering from Tekla
Girder frames: Mark with axis, order and elementnumber

Modell made in Tekla:

Plates for wind truss may not be welded to structure.
This is done to simplify control of modell-numbering. To finalice drawings
theese plates needs to be welded to structure.
