The BS Entrepreneurship course prepares individuals to start and manage their own business. It aims to develop entrepreneurs who are motivated
and knowledgeable in identifying opportunities, developing and preparing business plans and actually starting and managing business.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course introduces the fundamentals of entrepreneurship that deals with the role of entrepreneurship in economic development. Topics on Filipino
entrepreneurial economy, entrepreneurial motivation, government assistance and programs for entrepreneurs, development and growth theories and
applications are included. Relevant topics such as business concepts and models, ethics in entrepreneurship and social responsibility, enterprise
sustainability, global trends in business as well as ASEAN Integration in the context of Entrepreneurship education shall also be Philippine setting shall also

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

By the end of the semester, the students will be able to:

1. Identify the fundamentals and responsibilities of entrepreneurship primarily in the Philippine context with ASEAN and Global perspectives

2. Exemplify one’s capabilities in relation to the rigors of successful ventures

3. Develop an entrepreneurial mindset and competencies

4. Show confidence in public speaking and social relations

5. Explain the rights of consumers, creation of jobs, and business ethics

6. Expound the social responsibility to his/her customers, suppliers, stockholders, government, to the community, and to his/her employees.

 The minimum requirement to pass the course is a final grade average equivalent to 75% and above.
 Grounds for failing grades are:

D. CLASSROOM POLICIES

 Attendance: Students are expected to attend each class. School policies on attendance and tardiness will be applied.

 Class Participation: Each student is expected to read assigned material prior to class and participate in class discussions. Students may be
called on to answer questions and provide opinions during discussions.

 Missed classes: Students who missed class are responsible for content. Any student who misses a class has the responsibility for obtaining
copies of notes, handouts, assignments, etc. If additional assistance is still necessary, an appointment should be scheduled with the
instructor. Class time is not to be used to go over material with students who missed class.

 Use of mobile phones. All mobile phones MUST be turned off during class time.

 Use of the internet during class hours: Students are not allowed to browse on the internet while classes are ongoing, unless otherwise
instructed.

 Professional conduct: Students are required to conduct themselves according to professional standards as discussed in class when
conducting on-site observations, interviews, surveys, etc.

 Correctness in Paper: Work must be reasonably correct in mechanics (e.g. spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc.). Points will be deducted for
inadequate work.

 All typed assignments completed outside of class must be double-spaced, using Arial font. All font sizes for typed assignments must be size

 Submission of work taken directly from another source (e.g. from a book, the internet, or material developed by another student) will be
considered plagiarism and grounds for no credit on the assignment. Students are encouraged, however, to use a variety of resources in
obtaining ideas and illustrations that will help them complete assignments independently. See the APA Guide for the correct method to cite
other authors’ work.
