7 Diagram 7 shows a short pull field dimension for a high school. For category

11 Table 11 shows the price indices and weightages of four ingredients P, Q, R and S,
used in the making of a type of food. The composite index for the cost of making
the food in the year 2004 based on the year 2001 is 104.7.

(a) It is given that the price of ingredient P increases by 15% from the year 2001
to the year 2004.
(i) Find the value of x and of y.
(ii) Calculate the price of ingredient S in the year 2004 if the price in the year
2001 is RM 4.50.

(b) From the year 2004 to the year 2007, the price of ingredient P has increased by
10%, the price of ingredient R has increased by 6% while the prices of
ingredients S and Q were unchanged.
(i) Calculate the composite index for the cost of making this food in the year
2007 based on the year 2001.

(ii) If ingredient Q is excluded from making this food, find the composite
index for the other three ingredients in the year 2007 based on the year
2004 with the ratio of the weightages of the remaining three ingredients
