My name is Sameer Kumar and hail from Jalandhar, Punjab. The main objective of this statement is to
put forward my desire to pursue the program of Project Management Techniques at Cegep College.
By this program study I want to avail the best level of education and to become successful
professional in my field so that I can be the reason of happiness to my parents and family. I firmly
believe that the Project Management program offered by this college is the logical extension to my
present academics and experience and benefit in my career development which is only possible if I
get a chance to study this course at Cegep College.

Educational Background

After completion of my grade 12th in non-medical stream, I opted for my Bachelor of Technology-
Mechanical Engineering from Ramgarhia Institute of Engineering and Technology, Phagwara
affiliated to Punjab Technical University. My bachelor's degree gave me a sound background in the
fundamentals of basic mechanical engineering subjects. Other than theoretical work, I also gained
practical knowledge during my three month industrial internship at SML Isuzu Limited, village
Asron Distt. Nawanshahar. SML Isuzu Limited design produces and sells buses, trucks and special
application products. I worked there as an intern in Production department. I learnt a lot there and
practiced my theoretical knowledge. Later I attended six months of industrial training at Sam
Automation Technologies Private Ltd., where I learned about Advance Manufacturing System-
CAD/CAM, CNC Programming & PPC. During my bachelors, I worked on a project called
'Kinetic Energy Recovery System' based on a bicycle which was one of the most appreciated
projects. I have not restricted myself to just academics; I have proved myself in sports activities too. I
have participated in basketball tournaments and these activities have resulted in the development of
anall-round persona which prepared me with strong sociable skills.

Basketball taught me that team work, team management and coordination leads to succeed victory.
With all the perseverance; I was able to complete my Bachelors degree with first division.

After my graduate program, I joined S.S enterprises, an electroplating and powder coating company,
as a Production Engineer and my main roles were controlling and assurance of production within
time. It has been almost 3 yrs of work experience here and now I feel to climb up the ladder in career
by attaining leadership and managerial skills. My goal is to gain an entry into best mechanical firms
which not only need technical skills but managerial skills too to handle larger projects and hence it is
truly important to manage huge projects successfully and of course to run a business in a successful
manner.

PROGRAM CHOICE - PROJECT MANAGEMENT at CEGEP COLLEGE,MONTREAL

With the independent handling of projects into every industry; I came upon the choice of Project
Management with Cegep College, Montreal, Quebec, which is a perfect progression to my career
aspirations. I believe this program would help me to accomplish my goals. Nowadays, companies are
hiring managers or employees which possess the skills like to build effective teams which are
committed to the project goals, can control project suppliers and external stakeholders, which can
project cost estimates and control project budgets. So to get these skills, I must say that Project
Management is the best option for me because in this course, the core contents I will study are as
follow:

So, this course will help me in honing to my existing skill set. The program is designed for managers

country in the world and almost each and every country want to launch their industries and business
houses in India. This will create huge demand for business managers and project managers in the
coming times. This professional qualification would add value to my resume and give me an edge to
gain higher level projects in my field. In Gist, This course will help me to enhance my skills which are
very much important in industry and I can easily get my desired job in India or anywhere else in the
world.

I am absolutely convinced that Cegep College is a place where my dreams can be nourished well.
Cegep da le Gaspésie is a place where students get an environment that values academic excellence as
well as practical workplace skills and has an extensive suite of support services. I look forward to
being a part of such a renowned institution. I extremely value both quantitative and qualitative
approaches in the field of management. I believe enhanced skills will certainly let me serve efficiently
to the organization for which I will work in near future giving me a pathway to better and bigger
companies across the globe.
