Abstract
For this laboratory test 500gr of Portland cement was placed on an unabsorbed surface, a hole was
made inside it and water was poured to mix with the hands, in order to obtain a paste that was later
measured in the Apparatus of Vicat , A normal consistency was obtained with a water percentage of
30.63% which had a normal consistency at the time of the test (10 ± 1) mm of the original surface at
30 seconds after the test had been discharged, where typical values of normal consistency were
between 23% and 33% based on the ICONTEC STANDARD 110 Method for determining The normal
consistency of the Hydraulic Cement or ASTM-C 187 76.
